Yesterday we told you how Prince Harry had been fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan for 10 weeks, and was 4 weeks shy of his full tour when some foreign websites outed his whereabouts. Now the MoD have confirmed that Harry is to be withdrawn from Afghanistan and will be on his way home shortly. Patrick Marriott, a spokesman for the Army, said,
"There's been an enormous amount of planning that's gone on into this, and the fact that this was going to break was always thought a possible outcome and so plans are there - and I think people can be reassured about that."

Wow, he looks like a carbon copy of my ex-boyfriend here. So cute. It's a shame he has to go home because it sounds like he would much rather stay with his unit, but I understand the decision to bring him back too.
1I heard there was some foreign press who reported this (an Australian magazine, I think?) and then the US Web site Drudge Report picked it up. Shame on them all for endangering not only Harry but also the men and women he serves with.
2There comes a time when the public DOESN'T have a right to know. This was one of those times. I can't stand the Drudge Report.
3PATHETIC that this story broke in the first place. Whomever is responsible for this needs to be b$tchslapped. He has every right to be able to complete his full tour and whomever spilled the beans not only put his safety at risk, but those around him.
What makes it worse is that it was breaking news all over the TV channels yesterday. Really - breaking news? Are you sure? Sad.
4im glad that hes home safe now.. or maybe theyre just saying that?
5LauraLocke: I completely agree.
6What a beautiful man.
