Making her watching parents proud, Kylie Minogue became a Knight in the Order Of Arts And Letters yesterday in France, for her contribution to the enrichment of French culture. At the ceremony, a smiley Kylie said:
"I feel so grateful that I have had so many moments in my life that I have experienced and loved that are thanks to this country and the people here."
Kylie's in amazing company, as past recipients of the award include Ella Fitzgerald, Bob Dylan, Meryl Streep and Robert Redford. She will also be receiving an OBE for her services to music in the UK later this year, so it looks like it's going to be another notable year for Ms Minogue!
