Yesterday we saw Mary-Kate Olsen groomed and gorgeous in Elle magazine, wearing a look I adored, and today here's some pics of her more casual 90s-themed day ensemble. She wore an almost-identical outfit last week, so I think it's safe to say that this is her look of the moment. The majority of you are looking forward to reading the Olsens' Influence when it comes out later this year, although Mary-Kate's Elle cover certainly caused some debate in the comments. Mary-Kate has been issued with a subpoena in the investigation into Heath Ledger's death, and will have to testify in front of a grand jury, as she refused to talk to detectives without immunity from prosecution.
Her lawyer has said she has nothing to do with the drugs found in Heath's body, and knows nothing about the source of them. And an independent attorney, Benjamin Brafman, has explained to Access Hollywood that Mary-Kate's request for immunity is probably not suspicious, saying that she's probably just had "good legal advice" and he thinks "it would be wrong to assume she’s done something criminal simply because she’s invoking her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination". i think that people need to give MK a break. there was a reason that she was the first person called on that night, but you don't know the extent of her relationship and i kind of feel like although i'm interested in knowing what happened - it's not my place. she wants to keep things private, and i think people should respect that.

3I'm actually starting to like the Olsens, although I feel they've been foisted upon us as fashion icons rather than being discovered by the public. I think they come across well in interviews.
