We're in shock here at Sugar UK HQ as we discover that Peaches Geldof has reportedly got married ... and not even to Faris Badwan!
It is being reported that 19-year-old Peaches married rocker Max Drummey in a simple, low-key ceremony in Las Vegas last week.
Max is a 23-year-old Harvard graduate and member of Boston-based band Chester French. He was spotted partying with Peaches at London's Maddox club at the beginning of July.
What ever happened to Faris, who Peaches has been dating? The couple were even seen hugging at London's Bungalow 8 as recently as mid-June.

A statement has been released saying:
"Peaches and Max Drummey are delighted to announce their very happy marriage. The couple tied the knot in a simple low-key ceremony in Las Vegas last week, whilst holidaying in America.
"Peaches first met Max, 23, a Harvard graduate in anthropology, 2 years ago. Max's band, Chester French, played at the ITV iTunes festival, where Peaches was a co-presenter of the show. The acclaimed new Boston band were signed by Pharrell Williams to his label Star Track, a subsidiary of the giant Interscope Label. Their marriage has the full support of their family and friends.
"Peaches and Max did not want unnecessary publicity, but following growing media speculation, have decided to set out the facts. No further comment from either will be forthcoming."

7wow - see that's what happens when people go to vegas - they get married - look at all the hollywood people that've done this! i hope that it lasts since he seems like a great guy and since he's gone to harvard - we do know that he 'knows better' than to do stupid things. love will do that to a person and so will lust. that's kind of fun if you think about it. i told my fiance that i want to go to vegas to get married -but that hasn't happened yet .

12I feel like I'm the only one who isn't shocked. That may simply be down to lack of interest though. It does seem like something she'd be silly enough to do.
13I thought she was still with the last guy she was seeing, so I can't get my head round this either! Still, at the end of the day, she's only 19, at that age marrying someone you've been with for five seconds seems wildly romantic rather than completely mad.
