As I've mentioned before, I'm a big fan of cookery shows, so I'm very excited about the return of The Restaurant on BBC Two this evening. For those of you who didn't watch the first series, esteemed chef Raymond Blanc offers nine couples the chance to open their own restaurant with his backing. He has two inspectors to help him decide who's performing and who's not, with Sarah Willingham advising on the business side and David Moore checking out front of house. Each week one unlucky couple will have their restaurant closed down until one pair is left standing. I can't wait, but what are your thoughts: are you excited about the return of The Restaurant?

 Last year was so boring ... I'd turn over every 5 minutes. Then you get the inevitable couple who sits in the "boardroom" so to speak, and week after week barely manage to hang on to their spot and thus, get all emotional. I'd rather watch Gordon Ramsey's kitchen nightmares. More drama, more annoying people, more unbelieveable - but nevertheless a guilty pleasure.
1I loved it last year, some of the couples were so full off themselves and so clueless it was fun to watch them fail
(or not so much fun to watch them win, as with the whiny woman from 8 in the Country). So yes, looking forward to it.
2I really liked the concept.. but didn't enjoy the show last year.. I was a bit like BigD kept on trying it but would quickly turn over.. I think it was because the people were so clueless and annoying... But will try again as hopefully they've got some better people this year!
3Didn't watch the show last year but would happily give it a try this year, I love cooking shows!!
4I've never seen it but friends love it, think I may give it a go this year.
