The premiere of Burn After Reading opened the 2008 Venice Film Festival last night, and the stars of the film embarked on a day of promotion along with directors Joel and Ethan Coen. Brad Pitt and George Clooney's rapport was in full swing – they fooled around with their co-stars Tilda Swinton and Frances McDormand in the audience at the premiere, before a surprised Brad Pitt was presented with the Best Actor award he wasn't able to pick up last year for The Assassination Of Jesse James.
The mistress of ceremonies then gave Brad a yellow flower to pass on to his buddy George! Tilda looked stunning in her striking golden dress, and Claudia Schiffer also brought some glamour to the event in a beautiful silver gown.

I am never a fan of Tilda Swinton's fashion choices! But Brad and George do look pretty cute with their semi-matching outfits. *sigh*
1I'm never really sure what Claudia Schiffer does at these ceremonies. What does she do know, apart from looking blonde and being formerly famous?
2I watched the press conference on BBC Breakfast this morning, George seemed REALLY p***ed off about the questions he was being asked - he was the closest I've seen him to being angry and was pretty rude. He was asked the usual rubbish, though, when are you going to settle down yada yada yada. I can see why it's driving him mad.
3It's funny you mentioned that Macneil, b/c I was just flipping through an old Glamour that had an interview with him and apparently he just hung up on the interviewer after he was pressed about his relationship ... so I guess that's a touchy subject!
4advah - that is a very good point!
5bigestivediscuit, I agree about tilda swinton. I don't normally like her clothing choices at all, but man, she has some cute looking friends!
6It's nice too that Tilda and George have stayed friends after Michael Clayton, which is a FANTASTIC film and they're both great in it.
7I don't like most of Tilda's fashion choices, but I do admire her for being a risk taker
