Glam was the name of the game at the Venice Film Festival last night, as Valentino: The Last Emperor premiered to an audience of fashion lovers. The subject of the documentary, designer Valentino Garavani, attended the premiere to see the product of hours of filming that took place between 2005 and 2007 – when he retired as head of the fashion house. Despite his retirement it feels like he hasn't really gone away thanks to his retrospective in Paris, and this documentary!
The film has star cameos a-plenty, from Mick Jagger to Elizabeth Hurley to Gwyneth Paltrow, and Liz was one of the ladies shining on the red carpet last night. Clare Danes glittered alongside beau Hugh Dancy in her gold and blush dress, Diane Kruger looked oh-so-classy in her pale pink number, and Charlize Theron stood our amongst all the pale dresses in her deep purple gown.

Eva's dress is gorgeous, Claire Danes's is... weird!
1Some to-die-for dresses here. But something's off about Claire's dress ... I think it's the ruffly bit at the bottom.
2Yeah I don't like Claire Danes's dress either - the bottom bit throws off the proportion. Diane Kruger's is very elegant.
3Diane Kruger looks amazing... as usual!
Claire Danes is not the best choice... I'm sure she must be very jealous of everyone else's... there's just a bit too much going on and as she has a sporty figure with doesn't really fit this fitted look!
Why does Liz Hurley always have to have her tit's out... time to grow up liz and put them away!
4OMG I agree tototee - she is ALWAYS showing them off in the same style/cut dress in every photo! I guess she truly believes in "if you've got it, flaunt it" ... bleh.
5She hasn't done it here, but the typical Liz dress has the low cleavage (showing the sides and a tiny bit of the bottom of the bazooms) and then a slit up the left leg, always the left. She has got a sensational body, but you'd think she'd WANT to own the odd slightly different dress.
6I love Diane Kruger. So elegant.
