Anne Hathaway arrived at the Venice Film Festival on Tuesday to promote her movie Rachel Getting Married, a film I'm looking forward to for the chance to see Anne playing against her usual type. In Jonathan Demme's movie she plays Kym, a woman who has been in and out of rehab for ten years and returns home for her sister's wedding – and at Venice she showed off the shorter choppy hairstyle that she had cut for filming. Check out the trailer after the jump. Anne had also packed a fair few outfits in her suitcase, showing off four outfits in her first two days in Venice.
My favourite has to be the dramatic pale green dress she wore at the premiere of her film on Wednesday – it looks different from every angle, although FabUK and I are not sure if she's wearing the dress, or the dress is wearing her. Since I last updated you on the comings and goings in Venice, we also had another peek at Natalie Portman looking casual at the festival on Tuesday, as well as odd couple Evan Rachel Wood and Mickey Rourke, who are there to promote their movie The Wrestler.
To see more photos from the last couple of days in Venice, as well as the trailer for Anne's movie Rachel Getting Married (let me know what you think!), just read more.

she always looks great, love her outfits for Venice. My fave is the navy, satin one-shoulder
1Man she is so stylish ... but I'm starting to worry, she's getting really thin. Don't change Anne!
2Anne's dresses are so beautiful,as always!
3I noticed that too, Wambalus! I love all the dresses - but especially the ruffly, OTT one! It looks great on her. Some people do OTT well - like Anne - and some people don't - like Lily Allen.
4Oops, I forgot to add how much I am LOVING Natalie's curly hair!!!
5That green dress would look terrible on other people, she looks fantastic!
And I agree about Natalie's hair, Bigestive!
6completely off topic here but Evan Rachel Wood is fantastic in The Life Before Her Eyes...
7I like the green dress but it is really wearing her. And I agree, so thin
8simple always looks better.
9The films looks like it may be interesting, worth a watch at least.
10I'm not really a fan of Anne (Haha, rhyming), but she does look nice when she's relaxed like in the red dress above.
Sorry to spoil the mood, but I had the displeasure of sitting next to miss Hathaway at dinner in Venice on Thursday night. We kept wondering who the loud-obnoxious-self consumed American behind us was, only to realize it was her as she got up to use the loo. Whether it was bad mouthing co-stars or dropping F-bombs, she made the meal distracting.
11I loooove her outfits!
