Kiefer Sutherland took a stroll through the East Village in NYC yesterday. The 24 star was freshly shaven after sporting a big beard, which started to grow a month ago, and reached epic proportions last week. He's been enjoying some quiet time with his girlfriend Siobhan Bonnouvrier since the end of 24, but he'll be back as Jack Bauer in the movie release.

Kiefer Sutherland and the Gang Celebrate 24 Finale

Kiefer Sutherland was surrounded by costars past and present at the 24 Finale Party at Boulevard3 in Hollywood over the weekend.

Kiefer Sutherland was surrounded by costars past and present at the 24 Finale Party at Boulevard3 in Hollywood over the weekend. As well as celebrating the end of season eight, the party also marked the end of the entire series, which the majority of you are sad to see go. Kiefer was joined by Annie Wersching, who looked quite different compared to the season eight launch party in January as she was showing off her baby bump! Mary Lynn Rajskub was also in attendance, as were several of Jack Bauer's past loves, including the actresses who played Audrey Raines, Terri Bauer and Nina Meyers, plus actors Anil Kapoor, Carlos Bernard, Dennis Haysbert, James Morrison, John Boyd and Jon Voight. With plans for a feature film already being discussed by Kiefer, it's not a final goodbye yet.

Kiefer Sutherland spent the weekend in London, wearing sunglasses as he met fans on Friday and sticking with his favourite scarf on Saturday night. After an eventful evening out, he appeared on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross and chatted about 24, his daughters and grandson, his time in prison and what he plans to do next: watch the full interview after the jump. Kiefer also talked about his emotional response to filming the show's final scenes, as well as his excitement about making the films next. Like me, the majority of you are sad about the end of 24, but with feature films in the works, we've still got more Jack Bauer to come.

Kiefer Sutherland Gets Bloody Filming Final Scenes of 24

Kiefer Sutherland was covered in blood as he filmed scenes for season eight of 24 in downtown Los Angeles yesterday.

Kiefer Sutherland was covered in blood as he filmed scenes for season eight of 24 in downtown Los Angeles yesterday. Even though Kiefer had previously said he would be open to filming more episodes, this will be the final season of the show, and like me the majority of you are sad to see it go. There is still talk, however, of a possible feature film set in Prague, which would give us two more hours of Jack Bauer. After seeing the telefilm Redemption, which bridged seasons six and seven, I'd be interested in a 24 feature film, what about you?

Will You Be Sad to Say Goodbye to Jack Bauer and 24?

It's been announced that series eight of 24 will be the last time we sit through a nail-biting day with Jack Bauer, as American TV network Fox have cancelled the show.

It's been announced that series eight of 24 will be the last time we sit through a nail-biting day with Jack Bauer, as American TV network Fox have cancelled the show. Kiefer Sutherland — who starred and also executive produced the show— made this statement at the weekend:

"While the end of the series is bittersweet, we always wanted 24 to finish on a high note, so the decision to make the eighth season our last was one we all agreed upon.... This has been the role of a lifetime, and I will never be able to fully express my appreciation to everyone who made it possible. But when all is said and done, it is the loyal worldwide fan base that made it possible for me to have the experience of playing the role of Jack Bauer, and for that I am eternally grateful."

As a big fan of Kiefer and the show, I'm sad to see this fantastic series go, but are you going to be sad to say goodbye to Jack Bauer as 24 comes to a close? Let me know!
