Russell Brand does get himself into trouble. If you've listened to his radio show or podcast, you know it's a rambling, often rude, flowery and stuttering trip through Russell's life and experiences. Usually it's a lot of fun. But in the show broadcast on October 18 Russell phoned Andrew Sachs — the actor best known as Manuel in Fawlty Towers — four times with Jonathan Ross, leaving lewd messages about Sachs' granddaughter on his voicemail. Russell has overtly apologised, albeit undermining it slightly by making light of it with Simon Amstell (listen here) but what do you think? Was Russell out of line with this?

god i just really dont like him anymore, he used to be witty now he's just perthetic and sick, what a tosser to do that to anyone let alone a cute national treasure, i wonder if he'll ever get his cumupence, hope thats broadcasted live too!!! hehe.
1Well said Hills. Russell will never match the talent of Andrew Sachs. Andrew is a much-loved actor on one of the most popular comedies EVER. Russell is famous for being a drugged-up rambling twatt. He needs to grow up and get a life. What a toss bag.
2It's Manuel!
3What's interesting is if you read the linked article, Andrew Sachs doesn't seem to be overly bothered by it, whereas you'd think he'd be the first person to be upset. Does it mean people are taking this too 'seriously' (ie 1st degree)? (I'm just asking)
4i dont know advah, fact is for me if somone ever did that to my family i know id be really offend and pissed off, as im pretty sure any person would, i think that the bbc toned what sachs said down so that it would'nt corse such an uproar about it for them, the papers said he told the radio show that he didn't want it broadcast but they did it anyway....
5I agree Hills, that's why I'm a bit confused. I'd def react like you, but Sachs doesn't seem too upset, and apparently his granddaughter is friends with Russell - I was just wondering whether they all vaguely know each other and this is more a 'friend prank' than what it sounds like when you hear it on the radio?
6I hadn't realised Sachs didn't want it broadcast though.
russell brand is foul
7yea, i saw a picture of sache's granddaughter in the paper and maybe he did sleep with her but what a bastard to make a joke out of it if you can call it that, tbh i don't find his 'toilet' humour that funny its not witty enough for me to even crack a smile at...
8Honestly, I have to encourage most of the members, who commented on this sham on a story, to quite simply, get over it. Russell Brand performs apparent offensive material like he did on the radio show constantly on his other shows; most of the complaints made were only flooding into the BBC after the press made a "sing and dance" about the whole thing. No one cared until they were told to then further action was taken on the two employees when bosses felt they had to. It's all pathetic. Now they have both apologised so I think it's time everyone, especially the press, drop it.
9I think it's all just become a massive witch hunt.
he made a mistake. but it was the BBC who broadcasted it.
also i think 90% of the people who complained didn't even hear the broadcast until it was put on the news.
Yes it was completely inapropriet and entirely out of order. but they have apologised, leave him be.
Also he wasn't lying, he did sleep with andrew's grandaughter who is a member of the 'satanic sluts'. not so much of a little angel after all.
i think i made my point.
