In my The X Factor live chat last weekend, we were all rather shocked that Diana Vickers wasn't able to appear to perform on the show due to laryngitis. She seemed to be a favourite among those discussing the show with me last week, and she's certainly one of the ones I'd like to see go really far in the competition. The judges and producers allowed her to skip last week and there's been worry that she might not get better in time to perform this weekend, but here's some photos of poorly Diana leaving the contestants' house to head to rehearsals.

Her scarf is rather fitting for the scratchy pain her throat has been in no doubt. I look forward to seeing how she does on tomorrow night's show, if you're watching why not log on and watch with us? I'll be opening a post here on PopSugarUK just before the show and we can all discuss it as it happens in the comments!

Oh please. I saw her screaming away before her "illness" during bonfire night (the video is all over the internet) so maybe she should have taken better care of her voice/health if she was so set on competing. NO. SYMPATHY.
1hey bigestive, don't you think that could have been before she got ill? i thought that too, but i also think it could have been an unfortunate coincidence.
2Yes, it was definitely before she was ill, but IMO, if I was preparing for a competition like The X Factor, I would be pretty careful about my voice and my health in general. While it could be an unfortunate coincidence, I wouldn't be surprised if that had contributed to her laryngitis.
3well - i think that as a singer you need to really protect your instrument, but you can't really fault her for going out and having fun. i hope that she's able to get better in time for the performance - i don't watch the show live but i do follow it online.
4Look, I'm a huge fan of Diana. I think her voice is fantastic and I think she should win X Factor. All I'm saying is that you can go out and have fun, sure, but IF you fall ill and IF your down time contributed to that, then I'm not going to feel sorry for you.
5Agreed. I don't think she faked a laryngitis or that you should stay inside wrapped in a blanket to avoid that. But it's still kind of unfair for the other people who stayed in and worked on their song..
6Dunno, I just feel that when hundreds of talented people have been eliminated so she can have a chance, staying in for a few weeks would have been a bit more responsible (and respectful of the eliminated contestants). Actually, not even staying in, just not screaming like that..
Definitely, Advah. In no way did I think she faked laryngitis and I felt really bad for her when it was announced she wouldn't sing ... but then I saw that video of her screaming, etc. and was like ummmmm ... right. I'm not saying she should stay in and be in bed by 8 pm, but like Advah said, just be a bit more responsible.
7I will be logging on and watching on Saturday Pop!
8I hope she's still ill. That sounds terrible, but she gets on my nerves with her "I'm so original and unique!" schtick.
