Throughout December I've been asking you all to vote for your favourites of 2008, and this week I'm announcing all the winners.
Hollyoaks, Eastenders, Emmerdale and Coronation Street battled it out for this title using their dramatic storylines, but in the end Hollyoaks got the most votes and will be crowned as your favourite British soap of 2008. A mention also must go to Eastenders, which I'm choosing as my soap of the year.

Although at times the McQueen storyline felt a bit dragged out, I quite enjoyed it. I'm not really enjoying the Louise/Warren/Mandy storyline at the moment though. I'm looking forward to the whole Branning story to finish on EE, but the I thought the Tony storyline was quite good.
1wooo hoo, Holly-jokes all the way! My favourite storyline this year was Rhys and his sister.
2my mum call it silly oaks, and laughs at me, she always walks in the room when im like gasping in shock or something,i take it all very seriously

3i love Hollyoaks cos it is aimed for my age. i love Coronation Street to cos it is brillinatly written
