Frank Skinner is to make a special edition of Panorama about swearing on television, discussing boundaries of taste and decency. He's cut down on the amount of swearing he uses in this comedy routines, and his own stance is this:
"I don't want people using so much swearing that there's a blanket ban because there won't be then any room for the clever swearing β the beautiful, eloquent swearing. So I just think we need to back off on the stuff that's not necessary."
But what do you think? Do you dislike swearing on television?

1I think the watershed should be 10pm.
2im a bit old-fashioned about swearing. I just dont like it...i dont mind words like 'bloody hell', is that swearing though? but proper swearing - i just don't understand the need for it really!
3I'm old fashioned as well!Swearing isn,t really necessary unless you are really angry about something and even then I resort to shoooot or sugar. Why do certain people use every other word as a swear word? It,s beyond me.
4Please let's not become like in the US where people can't even say God anymore on TV. I think after nine is perfectly fine, children should be sleeping at that time anyway
5totally agree penny c.
6totally agree littlemunchkin! i think its so lame when you have comedy people on and they dont get many laughs and then they swear and everyone cracks up...its only a word....i dont mind so much though if its after like 10 or something but i just don't see the need for it really either.
7yea me too penny c. thats kinda why i don't get why gordon ramsey is so famous, he's not got a personality apart from swearing...he's a bit blah.
