Jamie Oliver showed off his trimmed beard in Germany last night at the opening of his new dinner show Das Jamie Oliver Dinner Frankfurt. The chef makes a pre-recorded cameo appearance in the cabaret show, which includes a four-course meal and mixes aspects of the circus, musicals, panto and fan conventions. Jamie's keeping very busy, launching a new chain of DIY restaurant/food shops called Recipease, and thinking about how to help the 27,000 Woolworths' staff who are being made redundant. He's also on a crusade to save the British pork industry as part of Channel 4's Great British Food Fight season, which starts Monday. Will you tune in?

It's sad, but I'll tune in for anything Jamie-related. Dude makes my belly happy, I feel I have a moral and foodie obligation to support him.
However, as my boss would say "what's going on with the ugly facial hair thing?!"
1lol me too advah. i lv jamie to bits he's so lovely, and always trying to think of ways to help out his fellow brits, he's yum!
2i used to like Jamie but gone off him a bit since hes gone all Gordon Ramsay-esque with all his swearing. But he is a good man - he does a lot of good for the country i think! Bet his wife wishes he could spend more time with her and the kids tho, hes always busy doing something!
3it's really funny about this concept for a dinner show - i wonder if he'll have success with it. i'm a sucker for anything that he does as well, so i think that if i can plan a trip i'll have to check it out myself.
