The winners room at the Brit Awards was taken over by bands this evening. Girls Aloud were incredibly excited to win Best British Single for "The Promise" and Kings of Leon picked up two gongs, for Best International Group and Best International Album. I was pleased to hear them dedicate their award to England, as I mentioned in my live blog with Scandalist earlier tonight. Katy Perry was there to pick up her Best International Female award, but Best International Male Kanye West couldn't make it. Duffy was the big winner of the night and had her arms full with three awards for Best British Female, Best British Breakthrough Act and Best Album. Coldplay, on the other hand, didn't get a single award but still wandered in to share in the others' glory. Check out the full list of winners after the jump.

yea sugar that was so lovely to dedicate their brit to England, uh it makes them all the more sexy. i think they are the best rock band of our generation, they are so amazing!
1was a bit gutted for Coldplay - would have liked to seen them win something. Really cant warm to Duffy so not really feeling anything about her winning, but really really happy for Girls Aloud. They were so happy, it was so sweet.
2That sucks that Coldplay didn't win anything . i'm glad i didn't watch the awards then ....
