British beauties like Cheryl Cole, Carey Mulligan, Cara Delevigne and Emma Watson have been decorating the coast of France with their exceptional glamour all weekend long. Check out some of these amazing photos of their gowns and accessories straight from the red carpets of the 66th Cannes Film Festival here!
A Marchesa-clad Jessica Biel joined her husband, Justin Timberlake, at his Inside Llewyn Davis premiere in Cannes this evening. The pair showed PDA as Justin wrapped his arms around his wife while walking the carpet. The film's leading lady, Carey Mulligan, who wore a stunning Vionnet number for the big event, accompanied Justin and Jessica. Tonight's red carpet was a couple's affair as L'Wren Scott-clad Nicole Kidman was accompanied by doting husband, Keith Urban, and Kirsten Dunst, who wore a Michael van der Ham gown, stepped out in support of boyfriend Garrett Hedlund, who stars alongside Justin and Carey in the film.
Jessica popped up in Cannes after making a fashionable stop in Monaco. She took a front row seat at Dior's runway show along with Marion Cotillard yesterday. Her husband has kept equally busy since he attended the photocall and press conference for his Inside Llewyn Davis alongside Carey and his crew this morning and also showed support for Spinning Gold on the festival's opening day last week.
Today, Calvin Klein officially unveiled Rooney Mara as the face of its newest fragrance, Downtown — but the brand got an early start celebrating the news last night. Despite the rain, stars including Rooney, Carey Mulligan, Nicole Kidman, and Skyfall's Naomie Harris stopped by Calvin Klein's beachside bash at the Cannes Film Festival yesterday evening.
Rooney marked the new partnership alongside Francisco Costa, the creative director of Calvin Klein Collection, at the party, which was also hosted by Belvedere and IWC. Inside the dimly lit and intimate soiree, she chatted with producer Harvey Weinstein, while Carey mingled by the DJ booth before making an early departure. Nicole also made time in her Cannes schedule to attend. All three actresses are busy working this week. Carey's The Great Gatsby premiered on opening night; Rooney's latest film, Ain't Them Bodies Saints, will also debut later this week; and Nicole is serving as a member of the film festival's official jury.
Over the past two days, leading ladies Emma Watson and Carey Mulligan have not let us down in the fashion department. From Carey's convex, textured Balenciaga jumpsuit to Emma Watson's, feathery, burgundy Christioher Kane cropped blouse and skirt, both of these British babes have taken their ensembles to fresh new heights in the French Riviera. But...if you had to choose, whose daytime photocall outfit do you prefer?
The Cannes Film Festival is under way, with stars like Audrey Tautou and Nicole Kidman already showing face at photocalls. The more casual photocalls are always a feast for the eyes, and not just for the beautiful fashion choices the celebrities make. Their hair and makeup is always fresh, pretty, and (most importantly) easy to replicate at home. Click through to see all of the best photocall looks straight from Cannes.
The cast of The Great Gatsby kicked off the glamorous Cannes Film Festival at their premiere in France tonight — and they didn't let a little rain stop them! They stayed dry from the drizzle, which really just added to the drama of the event, with oversize umbrellas. And while many stars held onto their own, others got a little help from handlers decked out in black-tie.
It was a big night in France as the Cannes Film Festival kicked off with the opening ceremony and the premiere of The Great Gatsby! Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher, and Tobey Maguire all hit the red carpet after dressing up for a photocall to promote their film, which is at the festival out of competition, earlier today. Cindy Crawford also showed her support in a white Roberto Cavalli gown while Julianne Moore, Freida Pinto, and juror Nicole Kidman walked the red carpet as well — make sure to check out all the glamorous looks from the Great Gatsby premiere.
They aren't the only stars descending on the French Riviera, since Justin Timberlake, Christoph Waltz, Kirsten Dunst, and others have already arrived to take part in the film festival fun. Carey Mulligan, Cara Delevigne, Georgia May Jagger and Florence Welch looked like the ultimate glamazons on the first night of the Cannes Film Festival where the big event was the premiere of The Great Gatsby. These British beauties pulled out all the stops in their long dresses, stunning jewels and over the top hair and makeup (despite the heavy rains). You can take a peek at their gowns here, but click on to see more of their amazing red lipstick looks!
The South of France has been invaded this week, not only by the sexiest of sexy stars, but a great deal of them come from the UK. Take a peek at what sorts of sultry ensembles this glamourous beach town of Cannes has cast away on the first evening at the screening of The Great Gatsby and leave a comment to let me know whose look you like best.
Leonardo DiCaprio suited up to join his The Great Gatsby leading lady, Carey Mulligan, to kick off the Cannes Film Festival with a glamorous photocall for their film today. Leo and Balenciaga-clad Carey were joined by the rest of their costars, Isla Fisher, Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton, as well as the film's director, Baz Luhrmann, as the annual festival got under way in the South of France. It was a busy day for the Gatsby crew, who also participated in a press conference to discuss the film that opened in the US last Friday. Gatsby will make its European premiere tonight in Cannes. The Great Gatsby boasted impressive numbers in its first week, raking in $51.1 million from its US debut.
Leo and his longtime friend Tobey Maguire were reunited at the festival after pairing up earlier this week in NYC. Tobey showed his support at Leonardo's Christie's auction, which raised $35 million to benefit environmental and wildlife conservation efforts, a cause that is backed by the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation.
