Taylor Swift looked stunning in a gold Dolce & Gabbana gown as she worked her stuff on the red carpet alongside stars like Sheryl Crow and Keith Urban. Carrie Underwood made a big statement in a red Naeem Khan frock, while Faith Hill went for a simple black number to pose in front of photographers with husband Tim McGraw. Inside the event, Taylor got giddy when she got a chance to meet Shania Twain and John Mayer sang with Brad Paisley in one of his first live performances since he has battled vocal cord problems.

Big winners at the ACM Awards included Miranda Lambert, who nabbed awards for female vocalist of the year, single record of the year, and song of the year with husband Blake Shelton. Miranda broke down in tears during her acceptance speeches, saying that she was "rooting for Carrie Underwood" for the female vocalist award. Other winners included Little Big Town and Luke Bryan, who won entertainer of the year and also cohosted the event with Blake.

Hosts Kristin Chenoweth and Trace Adkins, who hosted last year's event too, made a hilarious entrance when they walked on stage with Trace carrying tiny Kristin in a pink baby sling. Kristin made multiple costume changes throughout the night, even changing into a sexy Santa costume to celebrate the Christmas season.

Big winners for the night included Miranda Lambert, who took home a single of the year award and a music video of the year award, and Carrie Underwood, who won the single of the year and female artist of the year prizes. This has been a busy month for Carrie, who we last saw at the taping of CMT's Artist of the Year celebration.

Carrie was all smiles on the carpet and took to the stage inside. She's been on the road recently performing songs from her latest album, Blown Away, and she just landed a new role in front of the cameras. Carrie's been cast to play Maria in The Sound of Music musical headed to NBC.

Miranda Lambert hit the red carpet, though her number one guy, Blake Shelton, missed out due to scheduling. Blake was tied up on the West Coast shooting The Voice and cheering on his two remaining contestants, Terry McDermott and Cassadee Pope. Sheryl Crow was also on hand for CMT's event and looked lovely in a floor-length black gown.

Justin Bieber brought his mom to the show after spending time with on-again girlfriend Selena Gomez over the weekend. Many stars were thrilled with their victories. Miranda Lambert got emotional when she and husband Blake Shelton won song of the year for their duet, "Over You." Blake was the evening's biggest winner with a total of three new statues, and was also crowned entertainer of the year.

Carrie did have a break from work late last month, though, when she spent a day at Disney's Animal Kingdom with her husband, Mike Fisher. Carrie recently spoke about Mike, saying, "I never thought guys like Mike actually existed! He loves me and all of my craziness!"

Group video of the year honors went to Lady Antebellum, while Miranda accepted her third consecutive female video of the year award. The 2012 Billboard Music Awards brought plenty of famous faces to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas Sunday.

The 2012 Billboard Music Awards brought plenty of famous faces to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas Sunday. LMFAO, who won six awards, opened the show before hosts Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell took the stage. A variety of artists including The Wanted and Kelly Clarkson, introduced by Robin Thicke, had their turn in the spotlight. Carrie Underwood, who brought husband Mike Fisher, performed "Blown Away" in a glamorous red dress, while Natasha Bedingfield sang a tribute to the late Donna Summer. Katy Perry rocked the crowd with the debut of her new single, "Wide Awake," and Usher brought "Scream" to the stage.

Justin Bieber took the microphone as well with "Boyfriend." Jordin Sparks shared a moving rendition of "I Will Always Love You," honoring Whitney Houston, after John Legend kicked it off with "The Greatest Love of All." Bobbi Kristina then accepted the millennium award for her mom, saying, "I'm just blessed to have been in such an incredible woman's life." There were many more statues given out this evening with Julianne Hough presenting Justin with top social artist. New Girl's Zooey Deschanel was on hand to introduce Billboard's woman of the year, Taylor Swift.
