We saw — and sighed at — so many celebrities as they tied the knot this year, including Halle Berry, Chrissy Teigen, and Jimmy Kimmel. Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard surprised everyone when they opted for an impromptu courthouse ceremony, which Dax later revealed cost only $142. Kate Bosworth, on the other hand, went all out with a sweeping, rustic wedding in Montana, and Keira Knightley took her celebrations to France. We're here to help you reflect on nine pairs of famous newlyweds from this year, but it's up to you to pick a favorite. Vote now!
When Danielle Fishel tied the knot with Tim Belusko last weekend, famous faces included not just her Boy Meets World costar, Ben Savage, but also '90s heartthrob Jonathan Taylor Thomas! Danielle tweeted a link to her wedding album on Monday, including gorgeous pictures from the couple's first-look moment, their reception, and a postwedding In-N-Out feast. Among all the party pictures, there was a group photo that featured her onscreen husband, Ben Savage. The pair will soon be reuniting on the small screen, starring opposite in the upcoming Boy Meets World spinoff, Girl Meets World. Also smiling in the group shot is JTT, who brought a date, Emily Craft.
Just how long has she known Jonathan Taylor Thomas? Based on her '90s photo album, the two go way back. In June, Danielle shared exclusive pictures with us from her sitcom days, including snaps alongside JTT, Full House's Jodie Sweetin, and Boy Meets World's Rider Strong. See more of Danielle when she hosts our love and advice show, Dear Danielle, and keep reading to see if you can spot JTT in more of her wedding photos below!
Kelly Clarkson married Brandon Blackstock in a small ceremony in Blackberry Farms, TN, on Sunday. Kelly, who wore a Temperley London gown for the big day, confirmed the news via social media, tweeting, "I'm officially Mrs. Blackstock :) We got married yesterday at Blackberry Farms in TN, the most beautiful place ever!" Wedding buzz began last week when Kelly told Access Hollywood that she and Brandon would be getting married "really soon." Days later, it was reported that the couple had obtained a marriage license in Sumner County, TN, just north of Nashville.
Kelly and her fiancé dated for a year before getting engaged, and since Brandon proposed in December 2012, Kelly has made no bones about her plans to tie the knot as soon as possible. Though the singer began planning a backyard wedding earlier this year, she then "got so overwhelmed by it — all the decisions" and decided to elope instead, explaining, "We would rather have an intimate moment that's special." And after the wedding? "I want babies, like, right off the bat!" Kelly revealed in an interview earlier this month, adding, "I already told him that when we're past the wedding, I want a baby."
Congrats to Kelly and Brandon!
Millie Mackintosh became Mrs. Manderson yesterday when she wed her long-term love, Professor Green, at Babington House. Unsurprisingly, the Made in Chelsea star did it in true West London style, choosing British label Temperley for her beautiful bridal look. Millie eschewed fussy strapless styles, corseting and princess dresses, opting to go for something more relaxed and romantic. She wore the Bluebell dress, which featured an embroidered sheer overlay on top, and a double-layered silk crepe skirt, which gave the impression of a soft peplum from the front but flowed down into a train at the back. Millie finished her vintage-inspired bridal look with Christian Louboutin shoes and a twisted, braided updo with a veil and flowers. We think she looks fabulous, and the pretty, unfussy look suited the English country setting perfectly.
When news broke yesterday that One Direction's Zayn Malik got engaged to Perrie Edwards, a few fans were surprised that the two stars, who are both 20, would make a big commitment at such a young age. However, Zayn and Perrie are hardly the first celebrities to make the big wedding promise before they are even old enough to drink in the United States — Miley Cyrus, Kate Hudson, Angelina Jolie, and Patrick Dempsey have all gotten engaged while they were 21, or younger. Keep reading to find out which stars put a ring on it when they were young, and find out which couples are still together to this day.
Us Weekly reports that Elle Macpherson tied the knot with billionaire Jeffrey Soffer in front of close friends and family during a ceremony in Fiji. The couple, who dated for two years before taking a break from their romance back in March 2012, became engaged in March 2013. Elle showed off her giant diamond ring in London shortly after Jeffrey proposed. Congrats to the happy couple!
Married life is suiting chef Curtis Stone! He tied the knot with his girlfriend of four years, Lipstick Jungle and Eastwick actress Lindsay Price, last month in a small ceremony on the Spanish island of Majorca.
Now back to work and focusing on the July 24 debut of the new season of Top Chef Masters, Curtis visited POPSUGAR Live! in NYC on Tuesday to talk about both the show and being a married man. "I'm loving it! I'm so happy," he said of life with Lindsay and their son, Hudson, who turns 2 in November.
Previously tight-lipped about his and Lindsay’s ceremony, Curtis elaborated during his conversation with POPSUGAR. "We had such a beautiful time," he said. "We snuck away to Spain and didn't tell anyone — just a few special friends and our family, of course."
And after the wedding comes the honeymoon! Curtis and Lindsay didn't have too far to travel, leaving Spain for its Western neighbor, Portugal. Curtis added, "We took a week or two off in Portugal afterward, which was divine. I'm a happy man. There it is!"
Make sure to watch the full interview with Curtis Stone and his Top Chef Masters partner Gail Simmons.
Update 2: People magazine reports that Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger officially wed yesterday in the South of France. Although the ceremony took place in France, the couple chose to marry on Canada Day, July 1, in honor of their native country.
Update: People magazine is now reporting that Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger did not get married on Saturday. A source told the magazine that they have not gotten married "yet," despite Mike Heller's tweets about being at her wedding.
Avril has married Chad, according to reports. Mike Heller, the CEO of Talent Resources, a marketing group that represents Avril, shared the news on Twitter today, saying, "I'm in South of France about to see my little Rok [sic] star Avril get married I am so happy to be part of this special celebration." He added, "No pictures will be sent since this is Avril's wedding but I will tell you everyone is so excited." Avril and Chad got engaged in August after dating for one month. The couple's most recent public appearance was at the 2013 MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto earlier this month, where Avril both performed and scooped up an award.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have finally revealed their wedding photos in Martha Stewart Weddings. The magazine released the first images, including photos of Blake's bouquet, the cake, and a glimpse of Blake's custom Marchesa wedding gown, today. The gorgeous shots were taken by photographer Marcus Nilsson, and the complete story on Blake and Ryan's wedding will be in the Winter 2013 issue of the magazine, which hits newsstands Dec. 24.
Martha Stewart and her team helped design Blake and Ryan's South Carolina wedding back in September. The wedding was extremely intimate, with only 35 guests, and was a surprise to the public, since they kept their engagement under wraps. The magazine editors shared, "We quickly discovered that Ryan and Blake are not like the many altar-bound celebrities who sell their big-day photos to the highest bidder. While they remain protective of images of them on their most heartfelt occasion, they graciously let us share pictures of the elements we created together." For more photos, check out Martha Stewart Weddings online and be sure to pick up the magazine when it hits newsstands next week.
