The first ever Global Kids Fashion Week has finally kicked off in London for the first season. It lasts for two days (yesterday and today) and from what it sounds like, day one was a hit. The events are taking place at Freemason's Hall in Holborn where luxury brands like Paul Smith Junior, Jean Paul Gaultier, Chloe and Little Marc Jacobs are showcased along with premium casual brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Diesel, Wildfox and emerging brands like Rachel Riley.
Not only are there catwalk shows featuring mini models, but there are also activities for kids and parents, musical performances, photo-booths and even child-friendly nail polish stations to keep children engaged and entertained. GKFW is sponsored by AlexandAlexa, an online designer retailer for baby and childrenswear. All proceeds from tickets will go towards Kids Company, the charity partner for the event and you can see the detailed schedule here. How do you feel about this designer-heavy focus on childrens clothing trends?
