Justin Timberlake and Amy Adams teamed up with director Clint Eastwood last night for the LA premiere of their Trouble With the Curve, which hits theaters tomorrow. The baseball-themed picture is Justin's latest to arrive in theaters. He's spent much of the last couple months on location in Puerto Rico making Runner, Runner with costars Ben Affleck and Anthony Mackie. On the astroturf carpet, reporters spoke to JT about the picture and the possibility of another album. Justin said of making new music, "[It's] a really big deal. For me, personally, when I do sit down and decide to do it, it's just a special thing. . . . I don't know that I can pump them out every year."

Yesterday brought a welcome reunion for Amy and Justin, who were seen hugging and posing for photos with Clint outside the theater and at the afterparty. Amy made the rounds in a scarlet dress from designer Roksanda Ilincic and Casadei shoes. Justin had two very special guests — his fiancée, a Dolce&Gabbana-clad Jessica Biel, stepped out for the fun Hollywood night, as did his mom, Lynn Harless.

Trouble With the Curve Trailer: Clint Eastwood Is Grumpy, Loves Baseball

Playing a grumpy old man must be like slipping on an old shoe for Clint Eastwood, who embodies a curmudgeon yet again as an aging baseball scout in Trouble With the Curve.

Playing a grumpy old man must be like slipping on an old shoe for Clint Eastwood, who embodies a curmudgeon yet again as an aging baseball scout in Trouble With the Curve. He elects to go on one last recruiting trip, accompanied by his daughter (Amy Adams), with whom he shares a rocky relationship. Lucky for her, she gets more than just backhanded compliments from her father out of the trip; a handsome fellow recruiter (Justin Timberlake) shows up on the scene and takes an interest in her.

Call me a sucker, but my heart swelled just a little bigger while watching the trailer (likely because Phillip Phillips's "Home" plays, and that song turns me into a puddle of mush). While I wouldn't have necessarily paired Adams and Timberlake, I like them a lot together, and the tension between Adams's character and her father gives the film just enough depth to explore. Trouble With the Curve opens Sept. 21, and you can watch the trailer after the jump.

Leonardo DiCaprio Premieres J. Edgar With Naomi, Ed, and Jokester Armie

Leonardo DiCaprio joined forces with his J.

Leonardo DiCaprio joined forces with his J. Edgar director Clint Eastwood last night for the LA premiere of their movie. It was an extra-special evening, since J. Edgar opened the AFI Film Festival. Along with Leo on the red carpet were other stars of the film like Ed Westwick, Naomi Watts, and Armie Hammer. Naomi wore Stella McCartney to pose for photos along with her partner Liev Scheriber, while Armie, who shares a kiss with Leo in the film, couldn't contain his real-life affection for wife Elizabeth Chambers.

The role of legendary FBI director J. Edgar Hoover has earned Leo a lot of Oscar buzz ahead of the film's release on Friday. To promote the biopic, Leonardo spoke with Time about what he and Hoover have in common. Leo said, "I identified with his ambition. I've been incredibly ambitious ever since I was young and, in some respects, have had no reservations about going for things I've wanted without questioning what the result will be. . . .There are a lot of pitfalls to success, and one is not listening to criticism. One of the most important things you can do is hear criticism of yourself and embrace it, whether it be — in my case — artistic or personal."

Morgan's Amistad costar Matthew McConaughey rocked a new look with his handlebar mustache, though his girlfriend, Camila Alves, didn't seem to mind the new facial fuzz. Morgan said a few words about his career and humbly acknowledged one special role in Bruce Almighty. Morgan Freeman said of his AFI honor, "I should be ashamed to say that sooner or later, I knew that someone was going to call on me to play God. I just had to be sure that when I said OK, that it was a comedy."

If you're a member of the Chuck Bass fan club, then lend me your ears eyes. Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick is making major moves to the big screen, signing on for a substantial supporting role in Clint Eastwood's upcoming J. Edgar Hoover biopic. Westwick will play an FBI operative who gets into trouble when he starts writing Hoover's biopic and learns a little too much. Blake Lively may be gunning for the biggest post-Gossip Girl movie career, but it sounds like Mr. Westwick may be ready to give her a run for her money.

Matt Damon Shares His Love of Clint Eastwood in Men's Journal

Matt Damon and Clint Eastwood teamed up for the current cover of Men's Journal.

Matt Damon and Clint Eastwood teamed up for the current cover of Men's Journal. The actor and director opened up about their new film Hereafter, which they've promoted together on The Early Show and at their NYC premiere. In addition to the movie's release, October was a major month for Matt personally — he just welcomed his baby girl Stella and turned 40 on Oct. 8. He and Clint, who is now exactly twice Matt's age, showed off their rapport in the interview as they discussed their friendship and filmmaking philosophies. They said:

  • Matt on how he met Clint: “We met in a bar, a gay bar. I saw something in him through the eye slits of the Hannibal Lecter mask that he was wearing.”
  • Matt on his character in The Departed: “I went up to Marty [Scorsese] and said, ‘I want to lose every fight I’m in and I don’t want my dick to work.’ Anybody I’ve met in my life who really is tough, there’s no swagger, there’s no raising your voice. You sit down and talk to a guy from the Delta Force, it’s very pleasant and calm.”
  • Clint on Matt's talents: “You get a feeling about somebody that they’re the kind of person who just likes to stand and deliver. And he is. He knows — he instinctively knows [what it takes to be a good director]. When he directs he’s going to be great at it because he understands actors.”
