New dad David Beckham left Victoria and newborn Harper Seven Beckham for a few hours yesterday to join teammate Landon Donovan along with international opponents Iker Casillas and Cristiano Ronaldo at a press conference in LA. They foursome teamed up and switched jerseys coincidentally landing David with Cristiano's number seven, to announce the start of the Herbalife's World Football Challenge. The friendly soccer tournament kicks off tomorrow and continues through August 6. David's LA Galaxy is scheduled to compete against Cristiano's Real Madrid club on Saturday and though Victoria and baby Seven may miss out on the match, it's likely his boys Brooklyn, Cruz, and Romeo will take their usual seats in the stands to cheer on their all-star dad.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Irina Shayk shared a joke as they watched Spain play USA in a basketball match at the Caja Magica pavillion in Madrid yesterday. The couple sunbathed together in NYC last month, following the revelation that Cristiano is a father. Speculation about the baby's mother followed, including new claims she's a British teenager, but Cristiano remained tight-lipped. He has commented, however, on rumours he's sent texts to Rhain Sugden, the glamour model Vernon Kay exchanged sex texts with. Cristiano said: "Another weekend and some more unnecessary press. If you want to know me, trust in what I write, not in all the stories written every day. I don't understand the need for this." Irina has spent time in the public eye solo at film screenings, while Cristiano has got shirtless on the football pitch, but they came together this weekend to show they're still going strong.

David Beckham dressed casually to accept his gong at the Teen Choice Awards yesterday, but he was smart in a suit on Saturday. He watched as LA Galaxy played his former team Real Madrid in an exhibition match in California, and said hi to Cristiano Ronaldo before the Spanish team brought home a 3-2 victory. New father Cristiano showed off his sexy six-pack with a shirtless lap around the pitch. Although David kept his shirt on, he and Cristiano both have big leads over their competition in PopUS's Summer Shirtless Bracket. Becks has more good news, as coach Bruce Arena has said David can carry on playing until he's 45.

Cristiano Ronaldo showed off his impressive physique and painted toenails as he hung out with his bikini-clad girlfriend Irina Shayk at a pool in NYC yesterday. Following his surprising announcement at the weekend that he has a son, there has been much speculation about the mother. His sister Katia is staying mum on that subject, but she has revealed the boy's name, saying: "The baby is doing very well. We are looking after him while Cristiano is away. He's called Cristiano just like his dad. Cristiano chose the name but we like it. He looks like his father and like me. He has the same eyes. We don’t know the mother, we never met her." Cristiano reportedly plans to expand his fashion boutique CR7 to include babywear.
Cristiano Ronaldo had lunch at Da Silvano Restaurant in NYC yesterday. Following his surprising revelation over the weekend that he has a baby son, speculation has begun about the child's mother. Cristiano's boy is under his exclusive guardianship, leading to suggestions he paid an American surrogate to carry the child. There are also claims the mother could be a Danish heiress he met in Madrid. His sister has said the baby has made her brother "very happy". He was reportedly born on 17 June and weighed 9lbs 8oz. Becoming a father has given Cristiano an even greater interest in the rights of all children. He has signed up for for the 1GOAL Squad, which he describes on his Facebook page as "a team of footballers and fans united this World Cup for the greatest goal of all: Education for every child".
Cristiano Ronaldo announed he is a father on his Facebook page:
"It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy. As agreed with the baby's mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship."
Following the weekend revelation on Cristiano's social networking pages, including his Twitter, his agent confirmed the news. It has been reported that Crisitano's mother and sisters are dealing with the paperwork so the child can be brought to his home country of Portugal. Congratulations to the new father!
During the second week of the World Cup, we saw some losing teams sent home. But gorgeous, shirtless football players will always be winners in our books. Cristiano Ronaldo is showing off his skills on and off the pitch this week. He's currently in South Africa hoping to clinch the World Cup for his native Portugal, and he's also revealing a bit of flesh in these new Armani ads. Topless photos of Cristiano for Armani were first revealed back in January and most of you were impressed, but will you be so enamoured with these ones? This time he is posing for both Emporio Armani underwear and Armani jeans, I can't wait to hear what you think!
The World Cup officially began last night with a concert at the Orlando Stadium. Shakira sang the theme song of the tournament "Waka Waka" during her energetic performance — but which Brit World Cup song do you prefer? Fergie took to the stage along with the rest of the Black Eyed Peas, who kicked off the concert and performed with other stars like K'Naan and Juanes. FabUK wants to know what you think of Fergie's "claw" jewellery! Alicia Keys also sang, covering her baby bump with a chain embellished top. Sadly, the night ended tragically, as Nelson Mandela's thirteen year old great granddaughter was killed in a bus crash after the concert. Nobody else was hurt in the accident, and understandably Nelson will not be attending the opening ceremony of the World Cup.
