The teaser for The Dark Knight Rises was a fun little preview of the final film in Christopher Nolan's Batman franchise, but the full trailer is the one that will send shivers down your spine. Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) is featured a little, but this preview mostly focuses on the villains: Tom Hardy as Bane and Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. I'm already loving Hathaway as an evil-doer, who hints that her motives lie in her desire to bring down the city's wealthy elite (Occupy Gotham, anyone?).
There's so much happening that the trailer barely has time to fit it all in, which means we only see brief glimpses of Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard. That said, the special effects already look dazzling (including an eye-popping scene of a football field caving in), and that creepy chanting we've been hearing for months still makes my skin crawl. Summer 2012 is still a ways away, but check the trailer when you read more.
