The cast of To Rome With Love was in NYC Tuesday to chat about their new Woody Allen-directed comedy, which hits theaters in the US tomorrow. Penélope Cruz headed up a roster of actors including Alec Baldwin, Ellen Page, Greta Gerwig, and Italian star Alessandra Mastronardi to chat about the project at the Loews Regency Hotel. Woody spoke about his movie-making and writing process, but it turned out that he was the topic of most of the discussion. Penélope, Alec, Woody, and Greta all spoke about the privilege of working with Woody, calling themselves "nervous" and "lucky" to even be there. Here are highlights from their press conference:

• Penélope on shooting in Rome: "I loved working there, and I am a huge fan of Italian cinema. There are things about [her character] Anna that I thought about in the back of my head, but she is also a character that has no filter with her brain, and she says everything she feels. It's so refreshing to play somebody like that, and it was refreshing and beautiful to be with Woody in homage to Italian cinema."
• Alec on working with Woody: "With Woody Allen, you have someone who is responsible for more memorable moments on every level of writing, producing, directing, and acting than any other person who has lived in film, really. You think about the countless, countless dozens of films — and even Woody Allen's less successful efforts are better than most other films you see. Then you see the greatest films he's made, and they are some of the greatest films ever made. So when he calls you and asks you to come and do this with him, if you're available, you go. You want to hitch a ride on this and be a part of them, because this is a guy who is just on an island of his own in terms of filmmaking."
• Penélope on trying to keep Woody's career in perspective: "I was trying to look at him and forget all the admiration, all of the respect, and all of the beautiful moments that I had experienced through his work. Because if you don't put that aside and focus on what you have to do, I would be starstruck the whole time. It still happens to me when I am with him. I find him so fascinating. He's so unique. I'm lucky that I get to be directed by somebody that I admire so much, and I am lucky I get to hang out with him, that I get to spend time with him, that I get to hear him speak. He makes me laugh all day long, so I feel really lucky that I get this time with him."

While the fashion world has all eyes on NYFW, tons of stars flocked north to Canada for the big first weekend of the Toronto Film Festival. On Friday, the cast of The Town headed out to dinner together after a successful press conference earlier in the day. By Saturday, Jennifer Garner flew out from LA to meet her husband, Ben Affleck, and joined in the red carpet fun at last night's premiere of The Town. She wore a sexy black dress, while Blake Lively was a showstopper in red sequins. Ben once again goofed around with Jon Hamm and Jeremy Renner before introducing his second directorial effort to the audience. The whole crew, Jennifer included, celebrated late into the night at their afterparty. Ben's best friend Matt Damon also has a movie at the festival, Hereafter, and he stepped out yesterday afternoon for a private lunch for his ONEXONE foundation.

James Franco arrived in the morning yesterday, just in time for his first press conference promoting 127 Hours. The incredibly intense Danny Boyle movie based on the true story about a trapped rock climber is already getting great reviews, and enigmatic James happily posed with his costar Kate Mara. On Friday, Megan Fox gushed about married life with Brian Austin Green by her side at the screening of her Passion Play. Vogue covergirl Carey Mulligan had a big grin on her face for the debut of Never Let Me Go while her boyfriend, Shia LaBeouf, was spotted jogging elsewhere in the city on Saturday. Clive Owen put on a sexy stare for his duties talking Trust alongside his director David Schwimmer. Javier Bardem was in town for Biutiful, Marion Cotillard looked gorgeous for Little White Lies, and Ellen Page got buddy buddy with Justin Long for her project Super. After the world premiere of Inception in the UK last week, the cast moved on to Paris where they posed for photos before a screening of the movie. Ellen Page looked fab in a printed dress, and Leonardo DiCaprio looked handsome as ever in his suit. Marion Cotillard upped the fashion stakes in her eye-catching dress, and also gave Michael Caine a friendly cuddle. Newly-engaged couple Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley arrived together, he looked casual as he approached the premiere, but took his cap off and added a suit jacket before posing for photos. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Cillian Murphy and Ken Watanabe also attended.

Inception had its world premiere last night in Leicester Square, and all the stars of the movie showed up to celebrate. Leonardo DiCaprio signed autographs for fans outside, he's been promoting the film in London since getting back from South Africa. Michael Caine cosied up to costars Marion Cotillard and Ellen Page inside, while Joseph Gordon-Levitt looked dashing in his checked suit. Enjoying his latest success, Tom Hardy went without a tie to the screening, but had girlfriend Charlotte Riley with him on the red carpet.

After spending some time in South Africa, Leonardo DiCaprio is in London today. He had his arm around costar Ellen Page at a photocall for their new movie Inception. The must see film is out this month, and also stars Brit hunk Tom Hardy, who looked smart and healthy in his suit alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Ken Watanabe and Cillian Murphy rounded out the cast. Leo must be happy to be travelling even more.
