Carey Mulligan, Cara Delevigne, Georgia May Jagger and Florence Welch looked like the ultimate glamazons on the first night of the Cannes Film Festival where the big event was the premiere of The Great Gatsby. These British beauties pulled out all the stops in their long dresses, stunning jewels and over the top hair and makeup (despite the heavy rains). You can take a peek at their gowns here, but click on to see more of their amazing red lipstick looks!
The South of France has been invaded this week, not only by the sexiest of sexy stars, but a great deal of them come from the UK. Take a peek at what sorts of sultry ensembles this glamourous beach town of Cannes has cast away on the first evening at the screening of The Great Gatsby and leave a comment to let me know whose look you like best.
When attending the premiere of a movie like The Great Gatsby, which is known for its '20s glamour, it's easy to get inspired by the vintage style and the stars walking last night's red carpet didn't disappoint. Victory rolls, soft waves, and red lips were all on display, and each look was better than the last. Get some inspiration when you keep clicking though the slideshow here!
Last night in New York City, Prada threw a party in honour of the movie, The Great Gatsby where they were able to show off the very special wardrobe from the film created by Miuccia Prada and costume designer Catherine Marti. Guests included leading lady Carey Mulligan, Florence Welch, Alexa Chung, Isla Fisher and more who were all clad in Miu Miu and Prada. See their stunning ensembles from the evening by clicking through this slideshow.
Last night at the 2013 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, Alexa Chung, Florence Welch, Kelly Osbourne and Adele all stunned on the red carpet as they represented England in America. A big congratulations to the beautiful Adele who was dressed in a Valentino Haute Couture dress and shoes from the Spring Summer 2013 collection for winning the Grammy for best pop solo performance. Alexa Chung was also dressed in a RED Valentino dress from the same range and Kelly Osbourne wore Paule Ka and H Sterm baubles. Florence Welch wore a Givenchy Haute Couture aqua green satin embroidered in paillettes dress, clutch and shoes that were custom made for her by Riccardo Tisci. Out of these looks, whose do you like best? Scroll through the slideshow and leave a comment to let me know!
I'm excited to report that the very stylish British singer Florence Welch has just released a capsule collection of art-deco style jewellery on her Flotique e-commerce website that is inspired by her latest album called "Ceremonials." We can see for sure that her Cage Ring (£20) is derived from the bird cage tattoo she has on her middle finger, but as for the rest of the range, it is filled with a total of seven necklaces, earrings and a bracelet that cost between £20-50. Check out all of the items here and let me know which piece you covet most.
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art brought out a host of stars for its annual Art and Film Gala on Saturday night. Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux mingled with friends Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz at the event — it was actually Drew's first post-baby night out! Salma Hayek and Kerry Washington also made appearances.
Robert Pattinson suited up for the night out after returning to the West Coast from his Australian Breaking Dawn Part 2 press tour. He posed with Cameron, who made her latest red carpet run following her appearance at the opening of Rag & Bone's new LA store on Friday. Amy Adams met up with Tom Hanks, while Minka Kelly and her boyfriend Chris Evans posed separately on their way into the bash, which honored Ed Ruscha and Stanley Kubrick. Florence Welch performed, and Evan Rachel Wood also took the microphone during the star-studded evening.
This week, I've been inspired by British style across the globe from the likes of Kate Moss, Poppy Delevingne and Florence Welch. Kate worked stylish Autumn separates in a Mulberry peacoat and Isabel Marant boots in London, while Poppy went casual in camouflage at a Berlin store opening, and Florence was her floaty best in Gucci for a gig in Florida. There's plenty more from the best dressed of the week, including Emma Watson, Cara Delevingne and Ashley Madekwe, so click through to see every fashionable moment and tell me who was most fab!
This weekend, the UK got fully into festival season with not one but two big music events — the Isle of Wight and BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weekend. Singers from both sides of the Atlantic brought their best on-stage style to Newport and Hackney Marshes, with Jessie J and Lana Del Rey hot footing it from the island to East London to sing at both bashes. Jessie J made a statement with her trousers at each performance, donning seriously ripped jeans on the Isle of Wight then a monochrome striped pair at Hackney Weekend, while Lana bared her legs in a pair of denim hot pants and fringe tshirt then a red bubble skirt dress. Rihanna chose short shorts too as she took to the London stage on Saturday and Sunday, while Leona Lewis bared her midriff, Rita Ora was head-to-toe prints and Florence Welch went for a waterfall hem gown. Take a look at them all here and tell me who was most fab!
Last night in New York City, the A-list headed to the Met Gala to walk the red carpet in their finest fashion. Plenty of Brits joined in the fun at the Schiaparelli and Prada Impossible Conversations Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art yesterday. Emily Blunt wore Calvin Klein Collection while Rosie Huntington-Whitely went patriotic in her Burberry gown. Lily Collins was an ethereal beauty in Valentino, Carey Mulligan embraced the metallic trend in a Prada paillette dress and Florence Welch stood out in Alexander McQueen. Click through to see all the British beauties at the glamorous event, including Anna Wintour, MIA and Alexa Chung, then vote to let me know who was best dressed!
