Hollywood welcomed a new crop of little ones this year, making lots of our favorite stars moms for the first time. Charlize Theron adopted a baby boy and Drew Barrymore added Olive to her family. Beyoncé Knowles celebrated the arrival of Blue Ivy, Anna Paquin gave birth to twins, and even more ladies welcomed babies, so we want to know — who is your favorite new celebrity mother of 2012?
Breakups occasionally inspire a makeover, and that seems to be the case for John Mayer. He stepped out in West Hollywood last night with a fresh new haircut. John partied with pals B.J. Novak, Mindy Kaling, and Hilary Duff at the Mondrian's Skybar to toast Mindy's upcoming Fall comedy series, The Mindy Project. While John caught up TV's finest, some 35 miles to the west, Katy Perry spent her evening dining at Disneyland's ultraexclusive Club 33. John and Katy split earlier this week after only a few short weeks of dating. Since news of the breakup came out, both have spent time in the company of friends. John and Katy share a mutual acquaintance in Hilary, who spent Friday night partying with Katy in Santa Monica.
Her sister, Haylie, shared her excitement saying, "Congrats to Hilary Duff and Mike! We are so blessed to welcome Luca in to the world! #ProudAunt"
Congrats to Hilary and her husband Mike Comrie on the birth of their first child!

Britney Spears was decked out in a tight, bright mini last night to attend a charity bash thrown by the St. Bernard Project in LA. She caused a stir by entering on her own, but Brit soon met up with boyfriend Jason Trawick to pose for photos together. Britney's famous friends came out for the party, including Hilary Duff with her husband Mike Comrie, as well as Kim Kardashian and her ex, Reggie Bush. Kellan Lutz also suited up for the philanthropic event while Selena Gomez and Kelly Osbourne attended in chic LBDs. The evening was organized to raise money for ongoing efforts to rebuild New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina, a cause close to Louisiana native Britney's heart. The guests were treated to a sit-down meal cooked by none other than chef Jamie Spears, and Mike Comrie, for one, was really excited to try his food.
Drew Barrymore stepped out in LA last night without her boyfriend Will Kopelman in order to toast pal Kimberly Snyder's new book The Beauty Detox Solution. Kimberly gathered even more of her famous friends for the event, including Hilary Duff, Fergie along with hosts Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan. Channing was able to spend time socializing during a break from working on his next project — he blogged a photo from the production office of 21 Jump Street with Jonah Hill earlier this week. Jenna is likewise busy shooting the pilot for her new TV series The Playboy Club, and it apparently already has the approval of Hugh Hefner. Drew had the evening free from prepping for her own next big thing, which is directing the big-screen adaptation of How to Be Single. She's clearly off the market, though, as her relationship with Will continues to grow.
American actress and singer Hilary Duff walked the red carpet last night for the premiere of Soul Surfer in Los Angeles with newly blonde hair. This is typically how we remember Hils looking from her days on Lizzy Maguire, but she went through a period where she went super dark, then kind of reddish and then blonde just at the ends. I think all three colour styles suit her complexion, but if you had to choose the one that you like best, which would it be?

Hilary Duff's philanthropic work with Blessings in a Backpack took her to Chicago yesterday. She already made stops in Atlanta and Indianapolis with the charity, which provides food for underprivileged kids, and her Illinois trip was the last on the tour. Hilary had some trouble at the airport as she headed out of town, and apparently the drama continued when her flight finally took off. She's also suffering from a bout of tonsillitis, but now that her travels are over she should have time to rest up before her next public appearance.
