Novak, Mindy Kaling, and Hilary Duff at the Mondrian's Skybar to toast Mindy's upcoming Fall comedy series, The Mindy Project. While John caught up TV's finest, some 35 miles to the west, Katy Perry spent her evening dining at Disneyland's ultraexclusive Club 33. John and Katy split earlier this week after only a few short weeks of dating. Since news of the breakup came out, both have spent time in the company of friends. John and Katy share a mutual acquaintance in Hilary, who spent Friday night partying with Katy in Santa Monica.
Hilary Duff gave birth to a baby boy named Luca this week. Hilary tweeted the exciting news today, writing, "Welcome to the World Luca Cruz Comrie! Tuesday evening, we became proud parents of a healthy 7 pound 6 ounce beautiful boy." She later added that, "He is surrounded by so much love!! Mom and baby are both doing extremely well. We are overjoyed and feel like the luckiest parents in the world."
Her sister, Haylie, shared her excitement saying, "Congrats to Hilary Duff and Mike! We are so blessed to welcome Luca in to the world! #ProudAunt"

Hilary Duff's philanthropic work with Blessings in a Backpack took her to Chicago yesterday. She already made stops in Atlanta and Indianapolis with the charity, which provides food for underprivileged kids, and her Illinois trip was the last on the tour. Hilary had some trouble at the airport as she headed out of town, and apparently the drama continued when her flight finally took off. She's also suffering from a bout of tonsillitis, but now that her travels are over she should have time to rest up before her next public appearance.
