Emily Blunt rocks a bold look on the cover of the May issue of InStyle, which is available on newsstands this Friday, April 19.

Emily Blunt rocks a bold look on the cover of the May issue of InStyle, which is available on newsstands this Friday, April 19. She's prepping for a big month with the April release of Arthur Newman with Colin Firth. Next year will see another large project, All You Need Is Kill with Tom Cruise, hitting theaters. At the moment, Emily's enjoying downtime with her husband, John Krasinski, and their friends — John and Emily were guests of the Damons over the weekend, attending Matt and Luciana's wedding vow renewal in St. Lucia.

In the magazine, Emily talked about being happy at age 30, not getting too invested in Hollywood, and her marriage to John. Here are highlights from Emily in InStyle — and also check out how Emily's look has changed over the years!

  • On marriage: "Meeting John really changed my life. When I feel the support that I have from him, I feel invincible. There's someone behind you on your good days, and someone in front of you on your bad days."
  • On keeping her distance from Hollywood: "I see Hollywood as a bubble that you pop your head into every now and again. I never get fully immersed in it."
  • On starring with Tom Cruise in All You Need Is Kill: "It's my first action movie. I wouldn't want any other initiation than with Tom Cruise allowing me to kick his butt."
  • On being 30: "Thirty sounds appropriate to me. I feel I haven't anything to prove anymore, so I'm excited. I'm ready for what's next."

Oz: The Great and Powerful hits theaters next month and the leading ladies of the classic children's story reboot are promoting the project with InStyle's March issue. Rachel Weisz, Mila Kunis, and Michelle Williams posed together for a glamorous shot and spilled about filming and family. Michelle touched on life with boyfriend Jason Segel while Rachel shared her favorite part of working with Michelle. Mila, who has been sticking close to Ashton Kutcher, talked about her tricky costumes. Here's more from Michelle, Rachel, and Mila in InStyle:

  • Michelle on Jason: "He is nice . . . I didn't actually realize who he was before I started dating him. I mean, I saw the Muppets movie, and I thought, 'Oh, that's cute,' but the truth is I didn't realize he made a lot of very popular, funny movies or was on a TV show. But maybe more important, I didn't realize he was so tall. I thought, 'Hey, man, you're cramping my style!' I tried wearing wedge heels for a while to compensate, but it wasn't me and I just gave up."
  • Rachel on the best part of filming: "Michelle's daughter and my son are about the same age, so they went to camp together, and we took them bowling. It was really fun for me and Michelle too, because you don't get that many mommy playdates in our business."
  • Mila on her costumes: "I spent a lot of the shoot in a leather corset, wired up in a harness, and flying around in a costume that weighed 10 pounds. I hear some women enjoy wearing a corset, but tell them to try 17 hours of that and then get back to me."

Amanda Seyfried Talks Sexy Channing and Managing Her OCD in InStyle

Amanda Seyfried strikes a pose for the January 2013 cover of InStyle.

Amanda Seyfried strikes a pose for the January 2013 cover of InStyle. Inside, Les Misérables star Amanda talked about her career — and a great deal more! She spoke with the publication before hitting the red carpet in Alexander McQueen at last night's NYC premiere of Les Misérables. Amanda talked to InStyle about just how sexy her Dear John costar Channing Tatum is, and touched on having OCD and the perils of dating famous guys. Here are highlights from Amanda Seyfried in InStyle:

  • On dating actors: "I can't date anybody without it being portrayed as a serious relationship in the tabloids. It sucks! Like Josh Hartnett and I were friends; we hung out, we dated. I don't actually have sex with every male I come into contact with. . . . I'm just more attracted to actors. I like their choice to be artists — that's ballsy. And a guy who has such access to his emotional life is sexy. Or maybe because lots of the actors I know are so broken. I don't think I'm compatible with anybody I've dated."
  • On Channing Tatum: "Channing was amazing. He's a superstar. . . . Everybody wants to have sex with him. And the only person he wants to have sex with is his wife, Jenna. He's the most loyal husband."
  • On managing her OCD: "I'm too measured and controlling — about everything. That's why I take Lexapro. It's for OCD. I don't feel like I'm struggling with it. I think OCD is a part of me that protects me. It's also the part of me that I use in my job, in a positive way. . . . I have to do lots of things at the same time. It's an obsessive-compulsive thing. So when I'm on the elliptical machine, which I do almost every day, I have to be knitting, playing Soduku, and listening to something."

Gwyneth's First Thoughts on Apple: "You Are Here to Teach Me Everything"

Gwyneth Paltrow strikes a pose in purple for the October issue of InStyle, which hits newsstands this Friday, Sept.

Gwyneth Paltrow strikes a pose in purple for the October issue of InStyle, which hits newsstands this Friday, Sept. 21. Inside the publication, Gwyneth spoke about turning the big 4-0 later this month on Sept. 27, her family, and her much-scrutinized diet with interviewer Diane von Furstenberg. Gwyneth and Diane also talked about the GOOP empire, and the associated city guides Gwyneth's created. Here are highlights from Gwyneth Paltrow in InStyle:

  • On turning 40: "I'm taking stock and really looking at everything. I'm trying to accept myself. There's a Rumi poem, 'The Guest House,' about welcoming in all aspects of yourself: the dark, the light, the jealous, the happy. Let them all in. But know that you're not defined by any single one of them. I've become much more serious after experiencing all the ups and downs of life — heartbreak, the death of people I love. . . . These days I feel pretty grounded."
  • On her kids: "When Apple was born, she had the hugest blue eyes. I looked into them, and she was looking at me, and I felt like, 'You are here to teach me everything.' After [Moses] was born I had postpartum depression. It was a difficult time, and because of that I believe I have an extra empathy for him, and he for me."
  • On her diet: "I was very strict for a while. I was macrobiotic for a couple of years, then I got pregnant and just ate ice cream. What I've learned is I want to enjoy my life, and food is a big part of it. I love to cook and feed people. I cook every day. I [indulge] but I don't like sweets. My indulging is a fresh baguette with cheese and a glass of red wine or french fries and fried zucchini. Or a turkey burger."

Jennifer Aniston slipped on a slinky peach Calvin Klein dress for the cover of InStyle's March issue. She's promoting her new comedy, Wanderlust, which hits theaters later this month. Jennifer met her boyfriend, Justin Theroux, while working on the project, and the duo have been going strong from NY to LA ever since. Jennifer opened up to the publication about what she's looking for in a man, Justin's signature style, and her age. Here's more from Jennifer Aniston in InStyle:

  • On her age: "You know what makes me feel old? When I see girls who are 20-something, or the new crop of actresses, and think, Aren't we kind of the same age? I don't feel my age. I feel young every day."
  • On finding the right partner: "Having experienced everything you don't want in a partner over time, it starts to narrow down to what you actually do want. As I get older I realize what qualities are important in love and what suits me. And what I won't settle for."
  • On dressing like Justin: "First of all, he has great style — it's very specific, and it has been his style forever. Has it influenced mine? No, but I know people say it has. 'Oh, look, you're dressing alike.' And I think, No I'm not. I've had this jacket for three years!"

Drew Barrymore Goes Bright to Talk "Pushing 40" and Her "Positive" Relationship

Drew Barrymore posed in a crisp white dress for the cover of InStyle's February issue, which hits newsstands this Friday. She's promoting her new movie, Big Miracle, and sharing excitement about the project with her fans in our latest I'm a Huge Fan contest — enter for a chance to meet Drew! Press for the big-screen release will be even sweeter since Drew is also celebrating her recent engagement to Will Kopelman. She opened up about her happy relationship, growing up, and aging gracefully in the publication. Here's more from Drew Barrymore in InStyle:

  • On growing up: "I’m pushing 40. I feel like those things that I always aspired to are finally being realized. I used to be afraid to let go of the intensity. I thought the work would suffer. But the lesson is, No, it’s still good, and I’m a lot happier—and less of a nervous kid."
  • On her fiancé Will: "He’s lovely. He’s very, very nice. It’s really positive. I’m super-happy… We go on group trips and spend holidays together — there’s a lot of love! And that is really nice and very different from the way I grew up, which was more unstable and inconsistent, with a lot of highs and lows. It’s funny, when I was younger, I used to say I’d hate a flat line—that I want the ups and downs, the rollercoaster. But I’m actually really enjoying the flat line."
  • On avoiding plastic surgery: "I say, don’t fight the rings on the trunk of a tree. Just keep counting ‘em. The idea of not looking like myself scares me. I just think a person’s character is what’s interesting… I look 10 times better after an exercise class than I do at any other time of the day."

Do You Plan Your Outfits in Advance?

For big parties and events, I typically plan my outfits from head to toe well in advance, but it's certainly not something I practice daily.

For big parties and events, I typically plan my outfits from head to toe well in advance, but it's certainly not something I practice daily. However, this month's issue of American InStyle Makeover features an interview with Rachel Bilson where she shares some insight on her style planning.

She says, "I know this sounds terribly shallow, but I’ve been mapping out my outfits for the next day every day since I was little, even before high school. I have a very busy mind — there’s constant chitter-chatter up there — but what I’m wearing the next day? That’s definitely something that’s always been in my head before I go to sleep at night."

Not only do I love that she admits to this, but also I think it's what makes her a real fashion maven. Someone who takes what she wears seriously, puts thought into it, and cares how she looks. Even if she is just going to the grocers, it says a lot. I have a tremendous respect for people who are committed to fashion. Do you plan what you're going to wear in advance?

Beyoncé Knowles Sparkles in InStyle to Chat Babies, Marriage, and Jersey Shore

Beyoncé Knowles struck a pose for the September 2011 issue of InStyle, which is on newsstands Friday.

Beyoncé Knowles struck a pose for the September 2011 issue of InStyle, which is on newsstands Friday. The superstar is doing the press rounds to chat up her latest album, 4, and has been in NYC performing a string of shows at the Roseland Ballroom. A reviewer was highly complimentary of her Sunday concert, writing in The New York Times, "She is thunder, Beyoncé is. Fire and quake. A thing that can't quite be contained. There is not any better advertisement for Beyoncé than Beyoncé herself, a hard worker who makes effort look like the most glamorous thing in the world." Beyoncé herself spoke about her work in the magazine, also touching on why she took time off and how she's ready to have a family with husband Jay-Z. Jay has his own music to celebrate with the release of Watch the Throne, and he was off in Miami over the weekend dropping $300,000 on a party at the Fontainebleau. Beyoncé revealed more about herself, including a love of TV that includes Jersey Shore. She said:

  • On why she slowed down her career: "It was difficult. I had to turn down great things, but I did it for my sanity, my life, my relationships, my nephew, my husband, my sister, and my friendships. I deserved to give myself time to focus on things besides performing, filming, and recording."
  • On starting a family: "I sacrificed so much as a kid and as a teenager. I have no regrets because my job kept me focused. When you're young — 18 or 19 — you have the energy and drive. That's the time to work as hard as you can. Now I'm a woman, and because I gave it my all, I can focus on my marriage. I can decide I want to have kids. I can be the mother I want to be and dedicate myself to my children. I want to make my job a part of my lifestyle so that I always enjoy what I'm doing."
  • On her guilty pleasures: "In my free time I prefer to do nothing but sit on the couch and watch TV. I have to confess that my guilty pleasure is Jersey Shore. I love going to the movies and to Broadway plays too. When I get home, the first thing I do is take off my stilettos!"
  • On a surprising fact about her: "You might be surprised to know that the last thing I want to hear at a club is one of my own songs. I get so uncomfortable. It's that awkward moment when you know that everyone is watching you to see if you're gonna bust a move to your own song."

Katie Holmes is on the August cover of InStyle, wearing a shoulder-baring pink dress and her favorite charm necklace featuring her daughter Suri's initial. Katie modeled for the magazine as she gears up for the release of her upcoming comedy Jack and Jill, as well as her horror movie Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. The actress and designer is busy on the big screen this Summer and Fall, but is also staying focused on fashion, recently launching her latest Holmes & Yang collection. Katie was happy to dole out some of her advice on how to dress, as well as share her take on her daughter Suri's much-talked-about style. Here are highlights:

  • On taking fashion risks: "I'm not afraid to try a new designer or do something trendy, but it has to look right on my body. You don't want to look like a fashion victim!"
  • On her favorite indulgence: "Nice undies. They make you feel special when you put them on in the morning. Even when I was a little girl I loved my 'days of the week' pairs. I love the hot pink ones — that makes my day!"
  • On Suri's style: "I do not dress her. She dresses herself! Obviously, I buy her clothes, but she is the one who puts her outfits together. In fact, she helps me. If she likes something of mine, I know it's good."
  • On whether she'll have another baby: "I don't feel pressure to do that. We already have a very big family: a full household with cousins who are over a lot, and she has her friends. My biggest thing is making sure she's fully taken care of and doing well."
