The ladies of Bachelorette, Lizzy Kaplan, Kirsten Dunst, and Isla Fisher, gathered for their LA premiere last night. They had company on the red carpet from their leading man James Marsden, as well as their movie's director Leslye Headland and costar Rebel Wilson. Isla, Kirsten, and Lizzy coordinated in a patriotic range of red, white, and blue — who's your pick for best dressed at the Bachelorette premiere? Isla's red number was from Reem Acra, and Kirsten's blue was designed by Jean Paul Gaultier. At the film's ArcLight Cinemas afterparty, Ali Larter showed her tummy in a striped outfit, paird with an Edie Parker clutch, and made the rounds alongside husband Hayes MacArthur. Bachelorette hits theaters Sept. 7, but is available on demand already.
The stars at Cannes gathered to celebrate euphoria Calvin Klein last night at a bash held just outside the center of town at the opulent Villa St. George. A few of Calvin's ladies were on hand for the Belvedere-sponsored bash. Model Lara Stone, who's in the CK Jeans campaigns, made the rounds with her comedian husband David Walliams, of Little Britain. Diane Kruger fronts the brand's beauty ads and arrived on the arm of boyfriend Joshua Jackson. It's a busy week for Diane, one of the Cannes Film Festival judges. She managed to have a night of fun, though, and caught up with friends like Isla Fisher, Naomi Watts, and Jessica Chastain.
Fellow Australians Isla and Naomi spent a good portion of the night chatting in a corner together. Jessica and Shailene Woodley were among the last to walk the press line before heading up into the house for drinks and snacks. Alec Baldwin arrived on the arm of his fiancée Hilaria Thomas, and they mingled with other funny guys like Chris Rock and David Schwimmer.

Dreamworks' next animated project, Rise of the Guardians, hits theaters this holiday season, but the film's starring voices Isla Fisher, Alec Baldwin, and Chris Pine were happy to talk about the film during a Q&A session with press in Cannes today. The trio are just a few of the stars in the ensemble cast, along with Hugh Jackman and Jude Law. The movie chronicles the so-called guardians — Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and more — in their fight to save the children of the world from an evil spirit, voiced by Jude. Guardians will likely be a project Isla can share with her daughters, Olive and Elula.
Alec is in France with fiancée Hilaria Thomas, and he's actually doing double-duty. In addition to press for Guardians, Alec is filming the documentary Seduced and Abandoned. He and writer-director James Toback are capturing the process involved in raising funds and selling an idea at Cannes. It seems Alec's turning his attention to film with news that 30 Rock will air its final episode next Fall in an abbreviated 13-episode season.
Naomi Watts and her fellow Australians Hugh Jackman and Isla Fisher, in D&G, were among the celebrities who turned out for the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic on NYC's Governors Island yesterday. Nicky and Kathy Hilton were also on hand at the sporting grounds, where polo player and Ralph Lauren model Nacho Figueras showed off his skills on the field. Hugh sang a version of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" to kick off the fourth annual match before taking his seat along the sidelines. Nacho's Black Watch team won the game, and once his work as an athlete was done, he changed into a Summer suit to enjoy the rest of the afternoon. The champagne was flowing at the Sunday soiree, and Donna Karan got the party started by teaming up with Wyclef Jean on the dance floor. Wyclef performed and lent his support to the event, which also served as a fundraiser for Donna's Hope Help & Rebuild Haiti nonprofit.
Baz Luhrmann's forthcoming film adaptation of The Great Gatsby has been slowly coming together for months now, and a major piece has just been added to the puzzle: Joel Edgerton will play Tom Buchanan. The Aussie actor joins some of Hollywood's finest, but the rumors and recast news have been a bit difficult to keep track of. That's why I've compiled the current cast right here so you can see who's who in the upcoming film.
- Leonardo DiCaprio will play Jay Gatsby, a mysterious millionaire who throws lavish parties at his home in the West Egg neighborhood on Long Island.
- Carey Mulligan will play Daisy Buchanan, an attractive but spoiled young woman who lives in the East Egg with her husband, Tom, and has an affair with Gatsby, whom she was in love with before getting married.
- Tobey Maguire will play Nick Carraway (who narrates the novel), Daisy's cousin who comes to New York after fighting in World War I and is pulled into the world of Gatsby's parties for the rich and their drama.
- Isla Fisher will play Myrtle Wilson, Tom Buchanan's mistress.
- Joel Edgerton will play Tom Buchanan, Daisy's husband and millionaire who is a former football player. (The role was originally attached to Ben Affleck.)
- Newcomer Elizabeth Debicki will play Jordan Baker, a pro golfer and friend of Daisy's who takes a liking to Nick when he comes to town.
- Jason Clarke, who most recently appeared on the now-defunct TV series The Chicago Code, will play George Wilson, Myrtle's husband.
If you're a fan of the novel, weigh in — how do you feel about the way the cast is shaping up?
The cast of Scream 4 kept the good times rolling last night, heading from their movie premiere to an afterparty at The Redbury Hotel. Courteney Cox stuck close to her costars in the movie, like Neve Campbell, Anna Paquin, Emma Roberts, and Kristen Bell, but she also had her small-screen buddies on hand showing their support. Her friends from Cougar Town like Busy Philipps, Ian Gomez, and her shirtless and bikini-filled vacation buddy Josh Hopkins were on hand to toast Courteney's foray back to the big screen. Even Isla Fisher turned out for the bash during a breaking hanging with her baby daughter Elula.
Isla Fisher was at rainy Heathrow airport today, carrying her rarely seen youngest daughter as she caught a flight. Isla was shielded from the rain by a security man with a huge umbrella, and looked casual in a jacket, jeans and some tan boots. Last night Isla attended the photocall for her new animated movie Rango with Abigail Breslin in London, having promoted it in Berlin and in LA with her gorgeous costar Johnny Depp.
Isla Fisher and Abigail Breslin kept up their busy schedule of premieres and press for Rango yesterday in London. The pair posed for pictures with some of the movie's quirky characters, but their leading man, Johnny Depp, wasn't along for the event. He did team up with the ladies last week, though, at the movie's LA debut. He was also on hand for a press conference just before the big night, where he chatted about his sex-symbol status and how his children feel about his career. He and his costar Isla are both parents to two kids, and we just got a first look at her adorable youngest daughter earlier this month. She's been away from home promoting the film, but has had support from her family, with her dad joining her on the red carpet in Berlin on Sunday.
Isla Fisher posed in a lacy dress at the Berlin premiere of Rango Sunday. Her costar Johnny Depp didn't join her on the red carpet, though she did have the film's director, Gore Verbinski, by her side. She and Johnny made a cute duo when they showed off the movie in LA last week after promoting together at the press junket. Isla's on the go until the animated feature hits cinemas on March 4, but she still makes time for mum duty. We even got our first peek at Isla and Sacha's adorable younger daughter during a recent outing with Olive.
