Paul Rudd, Leslie Mann, and Megan Fox celebrated the premiere of their new movie, This Is 40, in LA last night. Megan, wearing Roland Mouret, and Paul were joined by their costar Leslie, in a Vionnet dress, and her family. Leslie's husband, Judd Apatow, directed the film, and their two daughters, Maude Apatow and Iris Apatow, play Leslie and Paul's children in the movie, which is loosely billed as a sequel to 2007's Knocked Up. Jason Segel, who is also in the film, attended the premiere but without girlfriend Michelle Williams by his side. Lena Dunham dropped by the event to show some support for Judd, an executive producer on her show, Girls. Lena was spotted goofing around with friend Aubrey Plaza on the red carpet.

This has been a busy few months for Megan since she gave birth to her first child, Noah, on Sept. 27. Megan said that becoming a mom has changed her attitude towards her work. According to Megan, "It changes your perspective about being overly sexual in a film when you have a baby."

Emily Blunt and Jason Segel teamed up for the NYC premiere of The Five-Year Engagement at the city's Ziegfeld Theatre last night. The screening served as the official opening of the Tribeca Film Festival — check out all the stars from past Tribeca Film Festivals as we celebrate the start of the annual cinema event! Emily paired a Jason Wu dress with a bright pair of Alice + Olivia pumps. Emily and Jason were joined by their costars Alison Brie and Dakota Johnson.

Other stars turned out for the opening, including Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Leelee Sobieski, a Jason Wu-clad Camilla Belle, Kim Cattrall, and Olivia Wilde in Yigal Azrouël. Festival founder Robert De Niro was on hand with his wife, Grace Hightower. Funny ladies from Parks and Recreation, Aubrey Plaza and Amy Poehler, dressed up to take in Jason's latest hilarious movie, and also to support their small-screen costar Chris Pratt, who's in Five-Year, but couldn't make its debut.

The screening was in honor of Emily and Jason's big-screen romance, but he also had his real-life love there, too. Jason Segel and girlfriend Michelle Williams reportedly got cozy once inside the Ziegfeld and later at the Museum of Modern Art afterparty. Jason even talked about the possibility of marriage on the red carpet, telling reporters, "I hit my 30s and enough became enough. I'm ready to enter phase three. I put the puppets into a closet. I'm getting nice furniture."

The Muppets shut down Hollywood Boulevard in LA yesterday for the world premiere of their new movie. Kermit the Frog was joined by his whole crew — Gonzo, Rolf, Animal, Fozzy, and newcomer Walter — arriving in a Jeep to kick off the green-carpet processional of stars and puppets. Miss Piggy followed closely behind in her own convertible, wearing Jeremy Scott and Louboutins, and blew kisses to the crowd. We talked to Piggy and Kermit about their return to the big screen, and the pair joked that this film brought them closer together.

We also spoke with some of the human stars including Amy Adams and Jason Segel. Jason said it was a dream come true to work with the Muppets and he plans on inviting all of them, including his puppet brother Walter, over for Thanksgiving dinner so they can reenact the landing on Plymouth Rock. Many of Jason's How I Met Your Mother costars also stepped out to support his latest venture including Alyson Hannigan, Josh Radnor, and Neil Patrick Harris, who has a small role in the film. Jason Segel and Kermit the Frog made an appearance at D23 this morning at the Anaheim Convention Center to chat about The Muppets. The duo weren't joined by leading lady Amy Adams, though another of the film's female stars, Miss Piggy, did arrive shortly after Kermit and Jason took the stage. In typical spotlight-hogging fashion, Piggy was chauffeured to the Disney expo in the sidecar of a motorcycle by a tough-looking biker companion! In Amy's absence today, Jason, Kermit, and Piggy played two never-before-seen clips from the film. One featured Jason and Amy visiting Kermit at his swanky home in Bel-Air, while the other was a musical number that showed the whole gang tidying up the long-abandoned Muppet Theater to the tune of "We Built this City." We were behind the scenes on The Muppets set this Winter and had a chance to chat with Amy about taking on the role, as well as the fun she had introducing her young daughter, Aviana, to her cuddly costars. Today, after Jason shared the preview with fans and media, he stopped to talk with us about the passion project backstage. Many details about the movie have been kept under wraps, and he told us that his friends and family have been "respectful" about his desire to make the film a surprise and have generally avoided grilling him for spoilers. Jason Segel Talks Muppets, Amy Adams, and His Next Hollywood Dream

We were able to pay a visit to the LA set of The Muppets earlier this year, and the movie's mastermind, lifelong Jim Henson fan Jason Segel, stopped by to chat about life on the set with Kermit.

We were able to pay a visit to the LA set of The Muppets earlier this year, and the movie's mastermind, lifelong Jim Henson fan Jason Segel, stopped by to chat about life on the set with Kermit. The project was written by Jason and his partner Nick Stoller, and was brought to life with director James Bobin, leading lady Amy Adams, and a roster of talented puppeteers. Jason spoke about how he and Nick tried to make the film fun for both kids and adults, and revealed how happy he was to land Amy Adams as a costar. Jason, who at the time was finishing the Five Year script with Nick between scenes while logging an almost-regular workweek on the set of How I Met Your Mother, also touched on new Muppets, operating Fozzie himself, and what his next big Hollywood dream is. Jason said:

  • On people's perceptions of a Jason Segel Muppets movie: "I think maybe there was a moment of wariness that I was doing this with a sense of irony. Like there was a wink-wink about it — 'Oh, cute. R-rated Jason Segel is going to do the Muppets and make fun of it.' But as soon as we arrived on set and everyone saw that that wasn't the case, that this was coming from a very genuine and true place, we were all on the same team very very quickly."
  • On making a movie for kids and adults: "We're trying to harken back to the original three Muppet movies, The Muppet Movie, Muppets Take Manhattan, and The Great Muppet Caper. I think one of the things the original Muppet movies did amazingly well is that they don't condescend to children by feeling like they have to dumb things down to the lowest common denominator. And when you don't do that, you get a family film in its truest sense. An entire family can sit and watch and enjoy it. The worst equivalent is Barney the dinosaur where parents are having to sit there while their kids watch this and the parents want to blow their brains out. This I think is going to be the exact opposite. I think parents are going to be laughing as hard as kids are going to be laughing. We have jokes geared toward children and we have jokes that are geared specifically toward adults that go right over a kid's head. It's something that The Simpsons does as well. There's something very special about a family sitting down to enjoy something together — that was our goal."
  • On why Amy Adams is the perfect leading lady: "I wrote it for her. She was in my mind from the beginning, ever since I saw Enchanted. The role is very different, but first of all, she's like the best actress alive. To go from Enchanted to Doubt, and The Fighter, this woman can do anything. She's able to do this wide-eyed naiveté that is not part of her personality in real life —  she's one of the most smart, on-top-of-it women I've ever met. But she can do this kind of thing — my character and her character and Walter are true innocents. She's able to do that. She channels it through her eyes, and she can sing. She's totally game. She's up for it. She also really gets the jokes, so she was the perfect choice from the start. I don't know what we would have done if we hadn't gotten her."
  • On writing, filming TV, and filming movies at the same time: "I spent [ages] 21-25 totally out of work. And so now that I have a chance to do stuff, there's a part of me that thinks I'm not letting this opportunity pass by. You see it go away so quickly. It's so fickle. I like writing, I genuinely do. I get tired and all that stuff, but when you think about it, it's like the alien is going to burst out of your chest. When I get an idea it's kind of hard not to do something because it feels like the alien is going to burst out of my chest. I'm not good at setting it aside and saying I'll get to it eventually. I want to start writing it, even if it means staying up all night. It's tough to complain . . . I bought a house! What do I have to complain about, a little lack of sleep?"

You've seen the Muppet movie teaser (and probably one of the many parodies), but now we've got the real-deal full trailer for the film. The preview promises everything from action to romance and is packed with all the Muppets we've come to know and love. I'm already loving the throwbacks to classic Muppet moments (Menomena!) and the songs, of course. Jason Segel and Amy Adams lead the lovable pack as a cartoonish couple making a movie with them, and we also get a glimpse of Chris Cooper as one of the very many celebrity cameos that have been promised.

The MTV Movie Awards fun moved from the stage into last night's press room, where some of the victors posed for the first time with their newly acquired golden popcorns. Best Fight winners Bryce Dallas Howard and Xavier Samuel made do without their fellow honoree, Robert Pattinson, while Harry Potter's Best Villain, Tom Felton, seemed pleased with his victory. Some of the presenters also made time to smile in the reporters' area, with Bad Teacher duo Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel warming things up for Green Lantern's Blake Lively. The trailer below starts off like a preview for a run-of-the-mill romantic comedy starring Jason Segel and Amy Adams, but there's a twist, because it's a teaser for The Muppets! In the clip, we meet Gary (Segel) and his girlfriend Mary (Adams), a young couple vacationing in Los Angeles. When the trip goes awry because Gary forgets their anniversary, some cuddly friends pop on the scene: yep, the Muppets. Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the rest of the gang invade the screen as we get our first look at the film, which Segel co-wrote.

There's not much more given away about the plot besides Gary and Mary's relationship, but it's still fun (and pretty adorable) to see the Muppets on the big screen again. The movie comes out this Thanksgiving, so watch the trailer when you read more

Amy Adams and Jason Segel gave theater owners an early look at their new Muppet movie yesterday in Las Vegas at CinemaCon. The costars had a few laughs as they chatted about the shared childhood love of Jim Henson's puppets that inspired their work on the project. Jason and Amy wrapped up shooting with Kermit and company recently while Amy was in the middle of her busy award season. Their film also features cameos from the likes of Jack Black and Emily Blunt, as well as some surprise stars that Jason says he hopes to keep secret until when the movie hits theaters on Nov. 23. Beyond the Muppets, Amy will get the chance to revive another classic character on screen soon since she just signed on to play Lois Lane in the next Superman movie.
