A few members of the lovable cast of Gavin & Stacey were out at the Broadcasting Press Guild Awards lunch yesterday, celebrating their well-deserved win for Best Comedy/Entertainment programme. Ruth Jones (Nessa) and Joanna Page (Stacey) looked gorgeous – I love Joanna's Warehouse dress. But where's Mathew Horne? And come on James Corden – give us a smile? I guess it must be tough being funny all the time!

The big winner was BBC period drama Cranford, which picked up three trophies for Best Actor, Actress and Drama series. Phil Redmond – who brought television classics Hollyoaks, Brookside and Grange Hill to our screens – won the Outstanding Contribution to Broadcasting award. For a full list of winners, just read more
