Summer is prime time for blondes to go on parade, and four of them stepped out sporting incredibly different takes on sexy waves. Actress Leven Rambin sported the plaited undercut trend, which she paired with vintage-style waves, while Heidi Klum styled her glossy waves with a sleek side part. Kristin Cavallari opted for full-on Southern California beach waves, and Kate Hudson went for a more soft and relaxed take with her hair. Blondes and waves go together incredibly well, but whose style did you like best?
Kate Hudson showed off her killer legs in a blue Balmain minidress and Casadei pumps when she arrived at the premiere of Clear History in LA yesterday. The new film, which debuts on HBO on Aug. 10, is the latest project from the mind of Larry David and stars Kate alongside Eva Mendes, Jon Hamm, Amy Ryan, and Michael Keaton. Other guests at the red carpet fete included former Hills star Kristin Cavallari and Entourage's Perrey Reeves.
Before attending her latest film's big debut, Kate made a pit stop at The Tonight Show to share her interesting connection with Prince William. She revealed that William, Prince Harry, and Princess Diana once stayed at her family's home in Snowmass, CO, when the two princes were young. While Kate and her parents were in LA at the time and didn't get to meet the royal family, she did reveal that William politely called up Kate's dad, Kurt Russell, to ask for permission to use their ATVs. Kate said, "When my dad got off the phone he said, 'That's a really well-raised boy.'"
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are still picking out a name for their daughter, whom they welcomed on Saturday, and it seems unlikely that she'll share her moniker with any other celebrity babies. Other stars have given their kids similar names, though, like JoAnna Garcia and Nick Swisher, whose daughter, Emme, short for Emerson, has the same name that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony gave their daughter. Angelina Jolie, Gisele Bündchen, and many more have given their children the same names as some of their Hollywood peers. These masters of boho cool prove that all you really need to carry the look is a fabulous, fringed bag. Echoing the fringed looks we saw coming down the runway at Matthew Williamson's Spring '11 show or Isabel Marant's Fall '11 collection, the fringed satchel makes getting the style that much easier. Just throw it over your shoulder, à la Halle Berry, Rachel Zoe, or Kristin Cavallari, or carry it on a crossbody, as Olivia Wilde does. However you choose to wear it — even on a clutch — the resulting look is effortlessly boheme, carefree, and utterly cool for Summer right into Fall. Shop our editors' picks below to get the look.
Yesterday in Los Angeles, newly single Kristin Cavallari looked Summer chic talking on her cell phone whilst walking her dog. Her daytime style has always been classic and comfy, but this beachy ensemble is so effortlessly adorable for the high season. Her oversized tee paired with cutoffs, nude flip-flops, and understated jewellery are put together yet easy-breezy. What do you think of this California-cool look on Kristin?
Kristin Cavallari threw on an interesting bathing suit yesterday to pose during Miami's Swim Fashion Week on behalf of Skyy and Diesel. She gamely posed for a photo op in a pool, then headed inside the Raleigh Hotel to walk during Diesel's show. To take the edge off, Kristin tweeted, "Hair and makeup time . . . [the catwalk]'s getting closer! Definitely having a glass of champagne before I walk the runway." There have been plenty of Kristin Cavallari bikini sightings in the last few months, since she announced her engagement to NFL player Jay Cutler. Jay left his football duties temporarily, so that he could be with Kristin in Florida to offer his support as she works.
This week on Twitter, we got a glimpse of the fashionable Fourth of July festivities from some of our favorite celebs. Brooklyn Decker hit the kitchen, Jessica Alba filled up at a family barbecue, and Kristin Cavallari partied on a boat with friends. Click through to see each snap!
It's not exactly the way we wore our knotted tops in the '90s, but the easy-chic, slightly undone feel that comes with that tied top is back. We love the nonchalance of a knotted top with high-waist denim, or over our favorite printed sundresses like we've seen on celebrities. That said, we're taking styling notes from these lovely ladies. From AnnaLynne McCord's '70s-style take to Kristin Cavallari's breezy elegance, click through for a celebrity-inspired tutorial in outfitting your knotted tops for Summer.
