We're kicking off our best of 2013 coverage this month and we want you to weigh in. It was a big year in babies with many celebrities welcoming little ones for the first time. Kate Middleton giving birth to Prince George may have snagged the global spotlight, but plenty of other stars — including Kim Kardashian, Malin Akerman, and Jenna Dewan — joined the mom club over the last 12 months. So tell us — who is your favorite new celebrity mother?
A slew of stars attended the Variety Awards Studio in LA on Thursday evening, including Jennifer Garner and Zoe Saldana. The two actresses met up with other actresses from critically acclaimed movies that are sure to be hits once award season rolls around. While last night was all about films, Wednesday was for the ladies of TV with Sarah Michelle Gellar, who broke from filming her hit show The Crazy Ones, leading a group of small-screen actors in a discussion about their projects. Earlier this week, Sarah Michelle tweeted a photo from the set that showed her looking pretty banged up. She was back to normal at the round table event, though, wearing a snake-print top and black pants. Also dressed to the nines were Lizzy Caplan, Alexa Davalos, and new moms Malin Akerman and Anna Faris. Both blondes tried out leather-and-lace looks, while Orange Is the New Black star Taylor Schilling sported a crisp, white blazer.
Anna has been keeping busy on her CBS comedy Mom, but if her husband, Chris Pratt, gets his way, then she could be planning for another child soon. The couple welcomed their son, Jack, last year, and Chris recently opened up about giving him a younger sibling during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres. The actor said, "I would like more [kids]. I would have another one right away. We've talked about it," adding that little Jack is "pretty awesome."
With TV dramas getting lauded as some of the best entertainment vehicles currently out there, it's no surprise that television-star fashion is approaching Oscar-worthy levels. At Monday night's Critics' Choice Television Awards in America, small-screen stars dazzled us in high dosages of glamour, including Malin Akerman in a short, spangled black dress and Emmy Rossum in a one-strap, fire-truck-red beaded gown. The always impeccable Diane Kruger picked a ruched style with an extreme sweetheart neckline done up in lace, while Cat Deeley worked a floor-sweeping gold style with allover creeping sparkles and thicker sequined patches at the sides, hips, and shoulders. Which catches your eye the most?
The third annual Critics' Choice Television Awards presented by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association were held at the Beverly Hilton in LA on Monday night to honor small-screen achievements. A whole host of stars and series were up for awards, and the big winners of the night included Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones — which tied for best drama — and presenter Kaley Cuoco's Big Bang Theory. The show won for best comedy, and Kaley also picked up best supporting actress in a comedy for her role on the CBS hit. Veep's Julia Louis-Dreyfus took home the top spot over Amy Poehler, Lena Dunham, Zooey Deschanel, and others in the best actress in a comedy category. Elisabeth Moss was nominated for Mad Men and won a statuette for her work in the miniseries Top of the Lake. Diane Kruger was on hand in a Nina Ricci dress, and Malin Akerman make her second red carpet appearance since welcoming her son, Sebastian, in April. There were plenty more TV stars on hand for the award ceremony, and we were on the red carpet, so stay tuned for more from the big event!

Malin Akerman stopped by Ikea to go furniture shopping in Burbank yesterday and picked up an ice cream cone on her way out of the store. Malin's baby bump was on display in a striped skirt as she continued to show off her sexy maternity style. She's been busy since announcing her exciting pregnancy news last year and has been making the red carpet rounds lately. Malin attended InStyle's Golden Globes party earlier this month, and just last week she popped up in Washington DC to celebrate the inauguration.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association and InStyle kicked off celebrations for the 2013 Golden Globes with a party at Cecconi's in LA last night. It was announced that Clint Eastwood's daughter Francesca will be Miss Golden Globe, and she shared her excitement about the role with us on the red carpet. Also in attendance at the bash were Diane Kruger, in a tummy-baring look, and Lea Michele, who mingled with her Glee costar Chris Colfer. John Krasinski, Jenna Dewan, and Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet made appearances as well, as did a pregnant Malin Akerman. Revenge's Christa B. Allen told us she hopes her onscreen mom, Madeleine Stowe, gets a nomination, while their costar Gabriel Mann shared that he and the rest of the cast chat about coordinating their outfits before attending the same event. It's just the beginning of the award season fun since the Golden Globes take place on Jan. 13 with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosting.
The LA premiere of Nobody Walks brought out a star-studded crowd last night, including the film's writer Lena Dunham and star Olivia Thirlby. Malin Akerman, wearing Hugo Boss, also joined Nicky Hilton and Isabel Lucas. Malin, who's expecting her first child with husband of five years Roberto Zincone, posed for photographers before heading inside the screening. Malin announced that she's expecting late last week, and didn't waste much time before celebrating at Saturday's Environmental Media Awards alongside Ian Somerhalder, Jessica Alba, and Emily VanCamp.
InStyle threw a Summer soiree at the London Hotel in Hollywood last night. Editor Ariel Foxman played host to a range of starlets, including Ashley Tisdale, Nikki Reed, and a Ted Baker-clad Sophia Bush. Malin Akerman and Jaime King both made the scene, too, each wearing red dresses. Jaime, who donned Marchesa, arrived on the arm of her husband, Kyle Newman, while an Erin by Erin Fetherston-clad Ashley made the rounds, getting compliments on her braid, with boyfriend Scott Speer. Jordana Brewster broke from promoting her new show, Dallas, to hit the town. After posing on the carpet, the ladies moved to the hotel's rooftop to mingle with male attendees like Peter Facinelli and Derek Hough. The Spike Guys Choice Awards brought together some of the hottest men and sexiest ladies in TV, film, and sports in LA tonight. The show airs Monday at 9 p.m. EST with stars like Mila Kunis, Emma Stone, Channing Tatum, and Adam Sandler participating in the fun. Justin Timberlake accepted the entertainer of the year award from Jeremy Renner while Rock of Ages costars Malin Akerman, in Emporio Armani, and Julianne Hough, wearing a sexy full-length Michael Kors, took a break from press and let loose with the guys. Other Summer blockbuster stars were also on hand for the celebration including Magic Mike's Matthew McConaughey, The Dark Knight Rises's director Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale, and That's My Boy funny men Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg.
Athletes Kobe Bryant and Aaron Rodgers proudly accepted top honors and joined the crowd in applauding NFL hopeful Eric LeGrand, who was paralyzed from a neck injury, during his acceptance of this year's Guysman Trophy. Engaged couple Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell took the stage to present Emma, wearing Versace, with a pair of golden antlers for her win as Guys Choice hot and funny actress. Emma's adding another statue to her collection tomorrow at the MTV Movie Awards. She's expected to be on hand as a presenter, in addition to taking home the first-ever trailblazer award. We'll be there, too, so follow us on Twitter and Instagram for updates and photos from the red carpet!
Brooklyn Decker, Rihanna, and Alexander Skarsgard hit the blue carpet in LA last night for the West Coast premiere of Battleship. The ladies headed west after a big start to the week in NYC, where they both attended Monday's Met Gala. Brooklyn wore Tory Burch to the Big Apple fashion fest, while Rihanna donned a crocodile-print Tom Ford.
Battleship isn't out until next Friday, but the gang have been all over the world doing press for the last month. Brooklyn, Alexander, and costar Taylor Kitsch brought the picture to Europe, then Rihanna linked up for a quick tour of Asia and a stop in Hawaii for the junket. Brooklyn's doing double-duty, too, since her What to Expect When You're Expecting comes out the same day as her movie with Alexander and Rihanna!
