Sometimes when a director and actor meet, it's a match made in movie heaven — so why wouldn't they team up again? Pairings like Tim Burton and Johnny Depp have held on to partnerships for years, creating scores of wonderful films. These are the relationships I want to celebrate: that particular kinship between a filmmaker and a muse. Take a look through to see some of my all-time favorite duos.
Cameron Diaz Heads West For a Star-Studded CinemaCon Bash
Cameron Diaz wore Rachel Roy in Las Vegas last night for a star-studded CinemaCon event. She was on hand to honor DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg at the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation dinner and mingled with other celebs like Melanie Griffith, Antonio Banderas, Jack Black, and Brooklyn Decker. Cameron's off in Nevada after a stint in NYC, where she attended a benefit Monday to raise funds for science labs in urban schools.
All the traveling has allowed Cameron to catch up with her pals. Her former jet-setting companion, ex-boyfriend Alex Rodriguez, hasn't been accompanying her since their split. Alex did, though, share kinds words about Cameron recently. Alex Rodriguez gushed about Cameron, saying, "I don't like talking about my relationships. But I will tell you about CD: She's probably one of the greatest human beings I've ever met, and just an amazing light."
Leonardo DiCaprio to Become The Gambler For Martin Scorsese

Leonardo DiCaprio is about to roll the dice on a new project. DiCaprio will star in the remake of The Gambler, which will be directed by Martin Scorsese. DiCaprio will play the title character, Axel Freed, a man with a debilitating gambling addiction that propels his life into a dark place (James Caan originated the role in 1974). The Gambler remake will be something of a Departed reunion; not only are DiCaprio and Scorsese working together for the fifth time, but they'll reteam with screenwriter William Monahan (who won an Oscar for the 2004 drama).
Check Out Paris Hilton's Behind the Scenes Fragrance Video!
I love a behind the scene's video. Most recently Fergie released one online for her new scent Outspoken, featuring shots of the songstress chatting with Joe Zee and posing amid fans. Paris Hilton is the latest to join the fray with a video charting the making of her Tease fragrance ad. The video hit blogosphere this week and features the starlet chatting to the camera, having her makeup and being directed on set. Brands and celebrities are really making a hoopla around their fragrance ads these days. Gucci even launched a trailer for its hot Frank Miller directed commercial! Meanwhile Chanel and Dior have both begun tapping big name directors. Personally, I love it. It certainly seems like they're upping their game and I love the buzz that these videos generate. GQ's Men of the Year Enjoy the Show and Afterparty!
After all the celebrities walked the red carpet at the GQ Men of the Year Awards last night, they headed inside for the ceremony. Breakthrough Talent winner Ed Westwick posed with Lily Allen, while Woman of the Year Gemma Arterton cosied up with Nicholas Hoult. Noel Gallagher congratulated Jason Statham on his Editor's Special Award, and Damon Albarn posed with Gorillaz's gong for Best Band. Martin Scorsese presented Giorgio Armani with his gong for Designer of the Year. Find out who else won an award.
Plenty of couples were celebrating too. International Male Jon Hamm sat with his girlfriend, Jennifer Westfeldt, while James Corden got a kiss from his girlfriend as he won the Comedian prize. Daisy Lowe chatted with her ex Mark Ronson and also posed proudly with her new man Matt Smith, who was named Actor of the Year. Most Stylish Man Aaron Johnson had Sam Taylor-Wood by his side at the ceremony.

Watch Scorsese's Sexy New Bleu de Chanel Film
Remember the news that the legendary Martin Scorsese would be directing a short film for Chanel's newest scent for men, Bleu de Chanel Eau de Toilette? Well, here's the commercial below — in all its blue-hued glory. French dreamboat Gaspard Ulliel stars in the film, portraying Hector, an actor who refuses to fit the mold of the celebrity lifestyle. Enhanced with the Rolling Stones' "She Said Yeah" playing in the background, the flick cuts to memories of Hector's relationships past. What do you think of Scorsese's foray into the fragrance world?
Beauty Byte: Sofia Coppola Directing New Dior Fragrance Ad?
Beauty blogosphere has been abuzz at the rumour that Sofia Coppola might be the director behind Dior's forthcoming perfume ad starring Natalie Portman.
The gossip started after pictures surfaced this week of the Natalie filming in Paris, where the famous director was spotted in the background.
So far there's been no word from Dior to confirm either way (watch this space) but it certainly wouldn't be an outlandish move.
In 2008 Coppola directed Dior's cult ad for Miss Dior Cherie. Fashion houses have also gone nuts recently for getting famous directors to create their TV fragrance ads.
Martin Scorsese directed Chanel's new men's fragrance for September. Atonement director Joe Wright and Moulin Rouge creator Baz Luhrmann, have both worked on ground-breaking fragrance ads for Chanel.
Recently Guy Ritchie was tapped to direct a new men's fragrance ad with Jude Law. I think it's a great idea! It certainly ads buzz to a new scent. Sofia is one of my favourite directors too, so I'm excited to see what she comes up with.

Beauty Byte: Martin Scorsese Directs Chanel Ad Campaign
Calling all Goodfellas fans! You are in for a treat. Martin Scorsese was announced this week as the director of the latest Chanel fragrance TV ad. The award-winning filmmaker will be creating ads for the new men's fragrance Blue de Chanel, set to launch this September. Exciting! Scorsese will directing rising French actor Gaspard Ulliel (hot!), who also fronts the entire fragrance campaign.

Scorsese is a great choice, and will no doubt appeal to fans of his previous hits Casino, The Gangs of New York and Taxi Driver. He follows Atonement director Joe Wright and Moulin Rouge creator Baz Luhrmann, who have both worked on ground-breaking fragrance ads for the company. Blue de Chanel has been created by Allure perfumer Jacques Polge with notes of peppercorn, citrus, vetiver, cedar, labdanum, and jasmine (delish!). It's set to compete with three other new men's fragrances coming out this summer from Dolce & Gabbana, Hugo Boss and Bulgari. Are you excited for the new ad?
