With Mother’s Day coming up this weekend, we're thinking about beloved movie moms, particularly the actresses who time and time again have taken maternal roles and made them memorable. The first person who comes to mind? Meryl Streep. She's been a mom who sings, a mom who psychoanalyzes, and of course, a complicated mom. Here are my five top mom parts from her acting arsenal.
Often, women look to their mothers to see how they will age, and if Goldie Hawn is any indication, Kate Hudson has nothing to worry about. Both stars work hard for their glowing complexions, but they each have differing approaches when it comes to skin care. Kate, a global brand ambassador for Almay, keeps it simple, while her mother loves to experiment. Discover Goldie's nighttime beauty routine, stories of Kate's early years as an aspiring makeup artist, and their plans for Mother's Day in America in just a few weeks, when you keep reading

It's always super exciting for me when beauty and fashion brands come together. I just told you about the awesome python-palette that Bobbi Brown and Tibi created, and now, Alice Temperely and Elemis are joining forces on a safari travel collection for men and women to help benefit Mothers4Children charity. As Mother's Day is approaching on Sunday, this makes for the perfect gift for yourself or someone special. Inside of the faux-leather, animal-print bag for women you'll find a Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser, Soothing Apricot Toner, Exotic Cream Moisturising Mask, Skin Nourishing Shower Cream, Papaya Enzyme Peel and an Exotic Frangipani Monoi Moisture Melt. That's seven products, all sized-safely for airport travel to keep your skin looking gorgeous!
There are so many great things about this collaboration that it's hard not to be pumped about it. Once the beauty goodies are used up, you can refill it with your favourites and have a fab-looking bag to take on holidays. This is a limited-edition item that is available at John Lewis, timetospa.co.uk and select department stores. The Women’s case sells for £79, and then Men’s costs £50 with £1.50 donation from every sale going to Mothers4Children. Alice Temperley said,
"I am delighted to collaborate with Elemis for such a fantastic cause. Together I hope we will be able to raise substantial funds for Mothers4Children – a truly wonderful organization supporting children charities around the world and working to improve children’s lives in the UK. What we have created together is a classic and can be used for years and years to come."
Sara Cox was full of smiles as she posed for photographs with her new baby girl Renee as she left the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth in London yesterday. The Radio 1 DJ gave birth on Friday, and tweeted the news that evening, saying: "Hi y'all, we had a beautiful baby girl at 8.30 this morning. She's called Renee. So happy xxx". Sara left hospital with her partner Ben Cyzer just two days after giving birth, and tweeted that she stayed in hospital for the weekend "just cos its so calm&lovely here&the midwives are ace.plus the food is great". Baby Renee joins big brother Isaac, who was born two years ago, and big sister Lola, who is five and is Sara's child with ex-husband Jon Carter. What a lovely Mother's Day: congratulations Sara!
