Who is Your Favourite Darcy?

With the end of Lost in Austen last week, I've been in a Pride and Prejudice mood and have been thinking back to the 1995 TV series version and 2005 film version. I like all three actors in the role of Darcy: Colin Firth in the BBC TV series, Matthew Mcfadyen in the film version with Keira Knightley, and Elliot Cowan in ITV's recent spin on the story. I want to know your preferences, so tell me: who is your favourite Darcy?

Elliot was the best Darcy by miles !!! Apart from being a wonderful actor he has the most gorgeous eyes and smile !! Colin and Mathew were good but not a patch on Elliot.xx

MATTHEW MACFADYEN!! I enjoy the character of Fitzwilliam Darcy no matter who plays him, but Matthew was it for me. I also love Laurence Olivier's Darcy, too... When are you going to have a poll on a favorite Mr. Collins?!?

Colin Firth, M FacFadyen made Darcy look like a bumbling idiot, and Eliot's Darcy was nothing more than a caricature of the 95 P&P version !

Well IT HAS TO BE Matthew MacFadyen. The book has no scene of Darcy coming out of a pool/pond/or anything to do with water. He is handsome,wonderful and above all he is believable.

EASY: Matthew!!! Firth was & is too old to be Darcy! Even when Darcy, the character was trying to be cold, he expressed his emotion in his eyes or his hands---Firth couldn't pull that off, only Matthew did that perfectly! Matthew can dissect any character and make him come to life!
