Katie Price and Peter Andre have announced they are to separate, after meeting five years ago.
The couple's management company Can Associates Limited released a statement today saying: "Peter Andre and Katie Price are separating after four-and-a-half years of marriage. They have both requested that the media respect their families’ privacy at this difficult time."
The couple met on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in January 2004 and went on to marry in September 2005. Pete became step-father to Kate's son Harvey, and in June 2005 their first child, Junior, was born. Their second child, Princess Tiaamii, was born in June 2007.

huh - i hope that they are both doing ok. i guess we only saw the sides of them that were on the reality shows here in the US and don't know the inner workings of their relationship. it's a shame, and i hope that it goes ok...and that perhaps they can reconcile for the sake of their kids.
I just can't believe this is true?! They ran the marathon together so recently.
That's really surprising, poor kids. The problem for them is they never really had a relationship in private, from the moment they got together they were always in front of the camera. couldn't of been healthy.
Hopefully they will get back together and work things out (off camera!).
I kno I am horrible for thinking this, but I think its a good thing. For him at least. She is always so vile2him and i honestly dont know how he put up with it for so long. Obviously its not good because of the kids and stuff, and its sad for them, but hopefully its all amicable and stuff. Im shocked tho!
I'm a little surprised too, they really seemed to suit each other. They were on Graham Norton a couple of weeks ago and seemed as happy as they normally are.

Not surprised. Their show played on the E! network in the United States. She pretty much bossed him around and if that's how she is, then who wants to be in a relationship with that type of woman? He didn't seem to have an identity apart from her. He was like a puppy dog, following her around, doing everything she wanted. She's way too self-centered to have a relationship with anyone.

Shes an independant lady who knows what she wants and gets it peter knew what he had taken on and thats what he loves about her at least she has balls puts her family 1st and is a fantastic mum ! he needs to grow up stop sulking and be a man he shouldnt let his stubbon pride get in the way and needs to make the 1st move or risk loosing her for good theres only one katie price and we love her stop being an arse peter and do the right thing x
