One of Jade Goody's friends has spoken to The Times about the possibility of releasing a film of her life, based on Jade's second autobiography Catch a Falling Star. Danny Hayward, who is one of the trustees of the fund that provides for Jade's children, said:
"Her story lends itself to a biographical film. She's captured the mood of the nation. We're talking about it, and we welcome approaches. We want it to tap into raising awareness of cervical cancer."
The family is apparently interested in approaching British director and producer Nick Love, who was involved with The Football Factory and Bronson. Sources at Nick's company, Vertigo Films, said he was "very flattered" and his work schedule would dictate whether or not he would get involved.
What are your thoughts on this project? Would you watch a film of Jade Goody's life?
