Since Twilight, Robert Pattinson has found himself pushed rather quickly into the limelight, enticing a huge young fanbase of followers. In the movie Little Ashes —which he made before he became Edward Cullen — he stars as the young Salvador Dali, and I'd like to know if you'll be heading to the cinemas to see it, so check out the trailer below and let me know what you think!
You can see Robert in the indie flick at UK cinemas from May 8 — will you see it or will you skip it?

Post a CommentHmmm don't know, to be honest.
I love Dali and was actually obsessed with his work from 11 all through junior school (and walking past his paintings every day at work is one of the best feelings in the world!). I'd be curious to see the Diggory dude in a non-teen role, and actually think he can probably pull it off.
This being said, Dali isn't one of those artists whose life details I want to know. I want to keep my interpretation of his works, and I feel that knowing more than the basics would make me lose the way I relate to them. And if I want to know more, I'd rather read a few books first. Still curious to see what the critics say, though!
I'm a huge fan of Dali's, and from all of the clips I've seen of this film, it looks very promising!
I'm sure that they'll probably tone everything down for this film (he wasn't exactly PG-13, let's say) but should be good nevertheless.
okay, don't know when this movie will be shown here in Australia but I will definitely watch it, not only because of Rob Pattinson but I'm curious about the film. Hope they will show it here too.
He is actually lucky he did this film first before Twilight, otherwise he'll get stuck as a one-dimensional actor. If I am an actor, I wouldn't cringed on articles written by brainless gossip columnists -- but would worry about articles from serious, intelligent movie critics and journalists. Look, he has gannered more than tween fan based.
And for your information, he was breathtaking in that film!!! He made the memory of Dali immortal!
I already know that my morbid curiosity will send me to the theatre to see this movie. I am scared though because this role is so different for pattinson. I don't want to see him fail or look like a fool. This type of movie could either be a huge success for him or people may not get what he is trying to bring across. But I am so interested in Robert Pattinson that I plan to see all his other movies past, present and future.
Actually the naked picture of Robert piqued my curiosity of his Twilight body where he was clearly buffed and well tone, and so gorgeous. He and that blue shirt he was wearing in the Bella's bedroom scene is just driving me crazy right now.
Anyway, I am going to see this film. There is absolutely no excuse not to see this film. Whatever he did on this film, I don't think it is embarassing at all.
I don't know what to say to that.
actually, i never said it WAS embarrassing, and i also said that am definitely going to see it. i was merely pointing out that this will not be twilight, the movie that has made him so recognizable. OK?
i seems very interesting. think ill check it out
DEF. SEE IT!! Judging by the clips I've seen it seems like Rob portrays the role of dali UNBELIEVABLY spanish accent and all! Rob is perfection his talent strikes yet again!
I have been following the fast-rising career of Mr. Pattinson. When I saw the film, I felt he was the perfect choice for Edward. My children, and, yes, grandchildren have avidly followed this Twilight story. I have seen Mr. Dali on television when I was growing up. He had that mustache and he was a curiosity. I will definitely see the film Little Ashes because the trailers are interesting. If you know the story of Lorca and his assassination by the Spanish government, you can feel the effect this must have had on Dali. Mr. Pattinson can carry it off, and I look forward to his immursion into grown-up roles.
the mustache looks really fake and weird :S
