Prince William Breaks From Royal Pageants For a Day With Rhinos

Prince William had a busy weekend with various royal duties, including the Trooping the Colour and Order of the Garter ceremonies, but two weeks ago, he was able to visit the town of Lympne, England, for a cause close to his heart. The Duke of Cambridge visited the Port Lympne Wild Animal Park on June 6 to check in on rhinoceroses that had been relocated to Britain. The project was overseen by various organizations including the Tusk Trust, of which Prince William is a patron. The three animals are being raised in captivity before being moved to Tanzania's Mkomazi National Park, part of a project that aims to increase the number of rhinos living at Mkomazi.

The next week will bring more excitement for William, as Thursday is his 30th birthday. We've kicked off the celebration of his big milestone with a look at pictures from William's childhood, including many adorable snaps of him as a youngster playing with his little brother, Prince Harry.
