Jessica Biel donned a long Versace gown on the red carpet at last night's NYC premiere of Playing For Keeps. She posed for photos solo, as did her costars in the film Gerard Butler and Uma Thurman. Later, though, Jessica had the company of her husband, Justin Timberlake. Jess changed into a hot mint-green Nina Ricci dress to hit the afterparty at the Dream Downtown with JT on her arm.

Jessica and Justin have spent quite a bit of time in NYC since their Italian wedding back in October. She's done double promotional duty with two films out this season, Playing For Keeps and Hitchcock. In one interview, she opened up about the joys of life when you're married to a guy who can cook. Jessica Biel told Elle, "He bakes pies. He's Southern, so he's got all this influence from his grandma. He does a three-layer pie . . . and blueberry crunch cake, which is pretty unbelievable. It doesn't happen all that often, thank god. Otherwise, it would be a big problem."

Katy Perry and Selena Gomez put on their party finest for last night's UNICEF Snowflake Ball at Cipriani 42nd Street in NYC. The girls hit the blue carpet before heading inside for dinner and mingling. Katy wore a Naeem Khan caped ensemble, while Selena showed a bit of skin in Dolce & Gabbana. It was a colorful night for the female attendees — Kate Mara donned orange Jason Wu, Uma Thurman picked a dark blue Atelier Versace gown, and Girls star Allison Williams picked a mint green Naeem Khan ensemble. The night was about doing good, and quite a bit of charity took place. Selena tweeted, "So proud to be a part of UNICEF — we raised 2.5 million dollars tonight!"

Robert Pattinson attended Elle's Women in Hollywood last night as one of the few male attendees. He was on hand to honor his Bel Ami leading lady, Uma Thurman. Robert Pattinson sung Uma's praises in the role, saying their director sought "someone more intelligent, more charming, wittier and better in bed than me, which was obviously very difficult to cast." He also joked about being nervous, saying, "I'm learning how to read tonight. I find this terrifying." He didn't need to be worried, since plenty of ladies seemed happy to keep him company. In addition to chatting with Uma, Rob posed for photos with Jaime King and his Twilight pal Anna Kendrick. Rob's real-life leading lady, Kristen Stewart, skipped the event. Kristen and Rob have been hanging out, though, enjoying nights and afternoons out together around town.

Sarah Jessica Parker seemed to take the snow theme to heart last night when she attended UNICEF's Snowflake ball in a pouffy Louis Vuitton number. She attended the gala at Cipriani 42nd Street with other stars like Zoe Kravitz, Uma Thurman, Adrien Brody, and Mark Ruffalo. Zoe made the rounds inside while decked out in a Chanel ensemble that had feathery details just like SJP's.

Sarah Jessica and her family are home in the Big Apple again after spending Thanksgiving with Matthew's sister in New Jersey. SJP and Matthew attended a mass at Morristown's St. Peter's Episcopal Church, where his sister is a pastor. Their son, James Wilkie, had a lesson on the organ, then over 20 members of their extended family sat down to enjoy a 27-pound turkey!

Ryan Gosling popped up at his first Cannes event this evening looking dapper in Salvatore Ferragamo for the Cinema For Peace inaugural dinner honoring Sean Penn for his charitable efforts in Haiti. Leonardo DiCaprio and rumored flame Blake Lively took a break from lounging so he could stop by to say a few words while Robert De Niro, Naomi Campbell, and Uma Thurman sat in the audience. Ryan's arrival in France is later than most of the star-studded crowd as his upcoming flick Drive, costarring Carey Mulligan, is closing out the film festival. Carey debuted newly dyed brown hair this week in preparation for her next role starring opposite Leonardo in The Great Gatsby. The cast of the Baz Luhrmann remake of the classic is close to complete with Joel Edgerton now playing Tom Buchanan after Ben Affleck reportedly passed on the role last month. Carey's not the only link between Leo and Ryan, as Ryan was also momentarily romantically tied to Blake last Fall.

Bar Refaeli went short and sweet in a sequined Roberto Cavalli mini last night to attend Chopard's Happy Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend party in Cannes. She jetted to France after spending much of last week in Germany, where she did press for her upcoming campaign with Escada. Her ex Leonardo DiCaprio has also been near the film festival, reconnecting with friends and listening to a Kanye West performance over the weekend at a private production company's concert. Leonardo DiCaprio and Blake Lively are also the subject of some recent romance rumors, after being linked last year while she auditioned, unsuccessfully, for a role in The Great Gatsby remake. Leo wasn't spotted at the bash yesterday, but Bar had the company of jurors Jude Law and a Dolce & Gabanna-clad Uma Thurman. Naomi Campbell also stepped out for the event following a cameo at the Fashion For Relief Japan Fundraiser.

So far the gowns, makeup, and accessories have not disappointed this season at Cannes. And whilst there is plenty of high and voluminous hair on the red carpet, I've seen a great deal of loose updos with wispy tendrils left to fall around the face, creating a sweet and more gentle effect. Penelope Cruz had a major bombshell moment in a sexy violet Marchesa gown with costar Johnny Depp on her arm at this evening's Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. The two also stepped out for their photo call and press conference earlier in the day, where Penelope Cruz talked about aging and Johnny revealed that the only important critics in his life are his children. Both Johnny and Penelope were without their partners, Vanessa Paradis and Javier Bardem, respectively, which is already the trend for their promotional duties from LA to Russia to London. New mom Penelope has been knocking it out of the park with her red-carpet picks, and this dramatic dress is no exception. Also on the momentarily rainy red carpet were Cannes jurors Jude Law, Uma Thurman, and Robert De Niro. Johnny and Penelope's cute newcomer castmate Sam Claflin was decked out for his debut at the famous French festival, and his star is only on the rise as he recently signed on to star opposite Kristen Stewart in Snow White and the Huntsman.
