:-( God that was so shocking when he died. Can't imagine how it must have been for her.
I believe she thought they were just on a temporary break until he got off drugs. She fully expected them to get back together (I think).

You don't UNDERSTAND. Michelle does not like the TRUTH that has been SURFACING. She is sad and misses him. I believe that but she is TRYING VERY HARD TO STEER THE PUBLIC AWAY FROM WHAT HER AND HER LAWYERS DID TO HEATH LEDGER BEFORE HE PASSED AWAY. They were PLANNING TO DRAG HIS REPUTATION THROUGH THE MUD SO SHE COULD WIN SOLE CUSTODY. Is HEATH LEDGER here to DEFEND HIMSELF? She became so mean because she was jealous that he had a beautiful supermodel for a girlfriend. SHE WAS BEING SPITEFUL. He was not a drug addict! Partying with some friends during his free time did not make him a drug addict. HE WAS A RESPONSIBLE PARENT. Do you know what she said in 2008? " We will raise her with the best memories of him." The Best Memories? Who is she to judge what the best memories were? After she traps him and then forced him to MAKE THE BEST OUT OF GETTING STUCK WITH HER she suddenly became an authority on Heath Ledger and RULED HIM. She is pathetic. Please do not fall for this interview.

I've got to say, even if they had been broken up for the greater part of a year, think about how you would feel if someone you had a deep love for passed away - particularly someone with whom you shared a beautiful child. That is an unbearable pain. Plus, before he died, there were rumors that they were working to reconcile. Regardless of their marital status, they had an important relationship - of course that would leave a hole in her heart and a hope that he would come back.
@#5 I totally agree. Just because they were spilt up doesn't mean she didn't still love him, especially when he was the father of her child. Her daughter will forever be fatherless and that's heartbreaking. Oh, big deal, they broke up a year before! She's not allowed to feel immense grief at his loss? Give me a break.

This subject is obviously very sad and tragic because Heath was so young and talented and now Matilda is fatherless, but this interview was kind of awkward. I mean Michelle and the interviewer make it sound like she is Heath's widow or something. They had split up about half a year before Heath died.
