What Do You Think Of Chris Brown's Apology?

Chris Brown has issued a filmed apology for his assault on Rihanna, posting it on his official website. Lawyers advice has apparently held him back from posting it until yesterday, and he says in the clip that he has already apologised to Rihanna, that he wants to be a better role model for fans, that he been taught better than that, and that what he did was inexcusable. I think it did show character to say these things to everyone, but he will need to do more than talk the talk to really prove to the public that he wants to change. If he wants to be a role model- then why not use this inexcusable act as a way to teach others about domestic violence and violence against women? As a celebrity, there are so many ways he could get involved and try to make a difference.

wow... he actually sounded like he meant it. But what he did to Rihanna is inexcusible. He can apologise as much as he wants but its going to take me a long time to get comfortable with him again.

i think that was as genuine as a sorry can get, he didn't seem like he was pleading and he didn't seem fake at all, i stand by the fact i think that its not really anyones bussiness but also the fact that as he is a role model and a big talent its such a huge dissapointment what he did ..... its so out of order for a man to hit a woman and vice versa, and i can't really understand how people feel its ok or normal, but i hope he never does it again..i dont know if he will get his career back, and dont really know if its ok for him too or not? but he does have talent.

agreed with JamieUK, not a fan in the first place to be honest, but i can see it might win his fans back. also, aren't these words the same from his press statements at the time?

Alright. It's nice that he's apologising, but I still have a hard time with him.
