Jennifer Lawrence stunned during the American Hustle cast photo call in NYC on Sunday, posing for pictures in a bright blue dress alongside her castmates. The photo op came after Saturday's screening of the film, hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for official Academy members. Jennifer was all smiles at the screening, attending the event with fellow cast members Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, and Christian Bale. Although she wasn't pictured at the screening's after party, Bradley Cooper seemed to enjoy himself, planting kisses on the film's directer, David O. Russell, while Christian made funny faces on the red carpet. It's been a busy few months for Jennifer, who recently made the rounds for the Catching Fire press tour, and fans can look forward to seeing more of her ahead of American Hustle's release date on Dec. 13.
Bradley Cooper gave big kisses at the afterparty for an American Hustle screening in NYC on Friday, planting one on his director, David O. Russell. Bradley looked dapper for the event, making a solo appearance after bringing his mom to the film's LA screening earlier this month. Although costar Jennifer Lawrence wasn't in attendance, Bradley was joined by fellow castmates Amy Adams and Christian Bale, who made funny faces alongside his wife, Sibi Blazic.
We recently sat down with Christian to talk about the film, and he told us that he originally had doubts about the casting of Jennifer, who plays his wife in the movie. "I was very concerned about her when she was cast because the character had never been written so young," he said, adding, "And I'm old enough to be Jennifer's dad." The '70s-set crime drama comes out on Dec. 13, but you can get a sneak peek with pictures from the film.

Bradley Cooper was sans perm for a screening of his '70s-era drama American Hustle in LA on Saturday. The actor was joined by the film's director, David O. Russell, as well as costars Amy Adams and Elisabeth Rohm — but it was Bradley's mother, Gloria Campano, that may have been his loveliest date of the night. This isn't the first time we've seen Bradley out on the town with his mom, as she accompanied her famous son at the Oscars in February, and Bradley also revealed earlier this year that he and Gloria moved in together after the death of his father in 2011.
Bradley is back on the West Coast after mixing work and play in Hawaii. He recently filmed romantic beach scenes with Rachel McAdams for their still-untitled Cameron Crowe project before hitting the sand for some shirtless fun with John Krasinski and a pregnant, bikini-clad Emily Blunt. We'll likely see more of Bradley on the red carpet when he reunites with Amy, Christian Bale, and Jennifer Lawrence to promote American Hustle before its Dec. 18. release.
We can't wait to see this year's David O. Russell project, American Hustle, which boasts a roster of the director's all-stars like Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. The trailer is incredible, but the looks of the actors are really what we can't get enough of (like in these amazing posters). We now have even more pictures from the movie, and the awesome '70s style is there — not just on Lawrence, but also on costars Christian Bale, Jeremy Renner, and Amy Adams.
Some of Hollywood's hottest stars stepped out for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Governors Awards, and we got a sneak peek of award-season-worthy beauty looks. Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Garner were just a couple of the A-list actresses in attendance. Click through to see their red carpet beauty and get some inspiration for your next formal affair.
The A-list brought their A-game to the red carpet for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' fifth annual Governors Awards. Jennifer Garner, Amy Adams, and honouree Angelina Jolie kicked off award season at the black-tie event with a lineup of Oscar-ready gowns. Jennifer Garner stepped out in a black, tea-length Dolce & Gabbana dress and coordinating sky-high platforms. Amy Adams opted for a sleek, strapless Vivienne Westwood gown in a gorgeous plum hue, and Angelina Jolie made her mark on the event in a glamorous, black, sequinned Atelier Versace gown with a full skirt. Now that you have all the details, it's time to weigh in: which actress deserves an award for best dressed?
Meanwhile, Gwen Stefani debuted a shimmering, personality-packed gunmetal grey gown covered in fringe, and Freida Pinto showed off an embellished nude gown. Amy Adams took the shorter route — literally — in her flared navy Elie Saab Haute Couture dress accessorized with jewelry from Marina B.
As if we need any more reasons to be excited about David O. Russell's '70s-set crime drama, a glittery new trailer for American Hustle is giving us an even deeper glimpse . . . at Christian Bale's bulging belly. The full trailer, featuring music from Johnny Mathis and Electric Light Orchestra, gives a bit more information about the plot and characters. Amy Adams and Bale play con artists conspiring to "get over" on their business partners until they're forced to cooperate with an FBI agent (Bradley Cooper) to undercover political scandals in New Jersey. Mainly, they're trying to take down corrupt mayor Carmine Polito (Jeremy Renner).
Though this is distinctively a Russell film, this trailer gives me flashbacks to Martin Scorsese movies like Goodfellas. This trailer has everything: Jennifer Lawrence is talking trash about her husband (Bale) in front of their son, Cooper getting an at-home perm, and there's a miniscule flash of Louis C.K. — 10 points to whoever spots him! The film opens in limited release on Dec. 13, then it'll be open in wide release on Christmas Day. Take a look at the trailer after the jump.
We are dying to see Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, and Christian Bale's reteaming with director David O. Russell in American Hustle, and it's not just because the actors have delivered great performances when working with Russell. It's also because they look amazing in the '70s-set film about a real-life sting operation. In these stylish posters for the movie, we get another look at each character, and they're just incredible. Lawrence and Adams have the big hair and low-cut necklines, and Bale, Cooper, and costar Jeremy Renner have hair that would only be acceptable in the outrageously outfitted decade. Check them all out!
You probably don't need us to tell you that a Carolina Herrera-hosted fete is a very chic kind of party — so we'll show you. Last night, the designer's Vanity Fair-cohosted store opening on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles brought out a crew of celebrity style setters, all dressed impeccably in —of course! — Carolina Herrera.Camilla Belle chose a Summer-perfect Carolina Herrera embroidered top and lace trumpet skirt, which she finished with punchy open-toe heels. Rashida Jones opted for an understated sheath dress with a cool, faded-effect pattern and studded suede ankle-strap heels. Ali Larter brightened up the red carpet in a red floral-print minidress and strappy black sandals — certainly the flirtiest look of the night. As for the rest, Kiernan Shipka looked polished and age appropriate in a sweet sheath with a ribbon bow at the waist. Amy Adams took the classic approach in a feminine white, ruffled blouse and a black pencil skirt, while Naya Rivera slipped into a '70s-glam polka-dot blouse and wide-leg pants, and furthered the vibe with hoop earrings and layered necklaces. Now that you've got the who-wore-what rundown, it's time to cast your vote. Who's your best dressed of the night?
