Things are really starting to heat up for 28 year old singer Beyonce Knowles. It looks like the red light has been lifted on her once named Fierce fragrance, since Abercrombie & Fitch filed a complaint against her for infringement on their cologne which is also called Fierce. The new name, Beyonce Heat is a collaboration between Beyonce, Claude Dir and Olivier Gillotin of Givaudan, and the advert tag line is "Catch the Fever."
The name was inspired by her concerts which include fire on the sets. The eau de parfum seems to be an ultrasweet floral, sugary and woodsy juice containing notes of red vanilla orchid, magnolia, peach, honeysuckle nectar, neroli, almond macaroon, crème de musk, milkwood, amber and tonka bean. Three different sizes will be available this February along with a Gold Sparkling Body Lotion. Check out the saucy TV commercial teaser below and let me know if the launch of Heat is getting you fired up enough to buy a bottle!
In an interview with WWD, Beyonce said,
"I’m so happy with it. I’ve been working on it for a while now. I was on tour for a year, and I have meet-and-greets with fans. I’ve never in my life gotten so many compliments. Coty has their own testing, but that was my testing! The fans loved it. They were like, ‘I love that, I’m getting that, why isn’t it out right now? I need it!"
To find out behind her inspiration behind the design of the bottle, just
"Also, red is one of my favorite colors, as is gold. So then we thought of making the bottle look like it’s on fire. I love antique bottles — my mother had a collection of them when I was growing up. I wanted something with an antique yet modern feeling. Even with my wardrobe, I always try to find things that have a little bit of something vintage, yet still timeless and classic. The bottle, I felt, was a great mixture of the two."
