Keira Knightley's makeup shone as much as her dress at the Anna Karenina London premiere on Tuesday. Chanel Makeup Artist Lisa Eldridge created the actress's beauty look and has shared the secrets behind her inspiration, saying:
"To compliment Keira’s beautiful Chanel dress, I wanted to create a soft, pale and pretty makeup that had a romantic feel but was careful to add strength around the eyes so the overall look wasn’t washed out against the dress. Above all, the makeup needed to be elegant and flatter Keira’s naturally beautiful face."
To find out how to copy the exact look, just
Lisa used a brush to apply Perfection Lumière Foundation in 10 Beige, added two kinds of concealer (Éclat Lumière in 20 Beige Clair and Lift Lumière Concealer in 10 Beige) around the eyes and to highlight the high points of Keira's face, then dusted with powder (Poudre Universelle Libre in 20 Clair).
For the eyes, a liquid line of Ecriture De Chanel in Noir along the upper lashes was elongated into a small kitten flick and softened with powder shadow Ombre Essentielle in Ebony.
A soft shimmery silver/grey Ombres Contraste Duo in Gris–Subtil added soft smoky definition on the lid and underneath the lower lashes, followed by pale pink Ombre Essentielle in Liberty at the socket line and inner corner and finished with Stylo Yeux Waterproof in Ebene along the lower waterline and lots of mascara.
Brows were lightly powdered in Le Sourcil De Chanel in Brun and the apples of the cheeks were dusted in Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Rose Initiale for a fresh flush of colour.
Lips were shaped with Le Crayon Lévres in Natural and Rouge Allure in Evanescente (£25), on general sale on Sept. 14.
