The catwalks of Couture Fashion Week in Paris have been full of masked and veiled models at Giambattista Valli, Christian Dior, Giorgio Armani Prive and Maison Martin Margiela. On Monday, Valli took the Garden of Eden theme through the floral clothes right up to the net masks that covered glittery eyes and captured butterflies on the models' lips atop Elizabethan ruffles and pansy print peplums, while over at Dior, Raf Simons' debut for the fashion house saw neon makeup pop underneath net veils in black, yellow, blue and white. On Tuesday, the Giorgio Armani Prive catwalk was awash with beaded, crystal embellished veils that hung over slicked down hair, while bejewelled masks fully covered the models' faces at Wednesday's Maison Martin Margiela show.
