David Beckham Presented Golden Cap By Sir Bobby Charlton at England vs USA Match

Influential Golden Balls Becks Gets Golden Cap

David Beckham won his 101st cap for his appearance against the USA in England's friendly at Wembley last night, having been presented with a golden cap from Sir Bobby Charltan just before the match to mark the 100th cap he won against France back in March. Although Becks didn't score we won 2-0 with goals from John Terry (from a Beckham free-kick) and Steven Gerrard. The accolades keep coming for Becks on and off the pitch — in a survey of business leaders released today, David was voted most influential man in sport (while Victoria was voted third most influential woman in entertainment). In a post-match interview with the BBC about the golden cap, David proved he was still modest as ever. Laughing, he said:

"It was heavy actually. I was gonna lift it up, but when I picked it up I was like 'Oh my God'... I was trying to lift it up but it just wouldn't lift!"

I think I love David Beckham more and more each day!
