Love Jamie. It was heartbreaking to watch how hard he tried to get the kids to eat better. It's such a shame to see adults and children make such unhealthy choices for themselves without considering the short and long term effects on their minds and bodies.

Huge Jamie fan, he's lovely! Its really pathetic excuse that the pupils are shunning the food, if the government really cared and were in this then they would just put it forward, loads of people didn't like the smoking ban but the did it anyway coz its the healthy option, whats different here? if kids really didn't want it why cant they just take packed lunch in with them.....?

i think that jamie was trying to do in the UK what tyler florence was doing for schools here. it's just a amtter of things gaining acceptance. i think that here in the US more people were willing to try things since it's a big issue that children aren't eating healthy... as for jamie's success, he's gaining notice here through his show on Food Network, and i'm sure that he'll just grow in popularity. everyone loves a british accent here.

Yup tototee, Jamie is opening one in Bath too. In addition to the Oxford branch just opened, there's going to be one in Bath in September and one in Kingston in November, then Brighton and Cambridge early next year. Exciting!

I love Jamie.. and what he tried to do for school dinners was so commendable... I hate the way it was the kids who decided.. when I was growing up you got what you were given, and weren't given a choice.. p.s can't wait to go to one of his new restaurant.. is there one opening in Bath soon?
