The X Factor 2008 Grand Final Winner Alexandra Burke's Performances Of Hallelujah And Duet With Beyonce Knowles, Listen.

Alexandra Wins The X Factor 2008!

Alexandra Burke won The X Factor last night, after some truly outstanding performances. Her duet with Beyonce was incredible, made even more so by how absolutely in awe of her idol Alexandra seemed. Beyonce's reassuring hugs after their breathtaking performance of "Listen" were touching, and their duet really blew Boyzone and Eoghan Quigg, and Westlife and JLS out of the water.

JLS and Alexandra went head to head in the final part of last night's show, each singing a version of the classic Leonard Cohen song "Hallelujah", which will be released as a single by Alexandra and is available for download already! The differences in the two performances had one commenter in my Live Blog asking if it was the same song, but I'll let Alexandra's performance speak for itself. Enjoy, and let me know what you think, will you be buying it?

alex is a great singer, but i just really went off her when she won, she was so over the top and it was embarrasing to watch, and her snatching the cd off Dermot....ugh. i hope she does well, but not sure if i like her.

She def deserved to win! Seriously, JLS and Eoghan? I thought Beyonce was really sweet with her :) that was cute to see. Btw, what the f. is Chery wearing?!

She was incredible. I agree with Nikki though, I hope they let her shine when it comes to producing her. As soon as the choir came into her version of Hallaluah I just rolled my eyes and thought, oh yeah, of course, there HAS to be a choir, she's not outstanding enough on her own. What is it with Simon Cowell and his key changes and his choirs? Does it have to be so formulaic? JLS's version of Halleluah is a travesty.

There was no contest. Alexandra was outstanding.

Yay! The final two was close, but Alex certainly deserved it. What I'm a bit worried about though is that Simon might turn her into another Leona. Not that I have anything against her winning but do we really want or need another Leona Lewis? Still, I think she's got an amazing voice and she'll certainly go faaaaar!

:woohoo: JLS were good and they seem like such nice boys, i'm sure they've got a career ahead of them. But, there was no question that she deserved to win, Alexandra was consistently excellent and that Beyonce performance was amazing.
