Matt Damon stopped by The Late Show in NYC last night ostensibly to chat about his new film, Promised Land, but host David Letterman had other ideas. David asked Matt to bring back his famous Matthew McConaughey impression. Matt obliged, in part to celebrate Matthew's winning a New York Film Critics Circle Award for his work in Magic Mike. Jessica Biel swung by the Late Show studios in NYC last night to chat up her new movie, Hitchcock, with host David Letterman. She's had a busy few days of press for the film, which is out on Friday. Jessica granted interviews at a junket all day Sunday, then donned an Oscar de la Renta pantsuit to attend the premiere that night alongside costars Helen Mirren and Scarlett Johansson at Manhattan's Ziegfeld Theatre. For her chat with David, Jessica donned another bold look in a Roland Mouret dress. She recalled a nightmare spa night in which she saw some "husky" guys relaxing nude in a sauna. Jessica told of her horror to see "balls on wood."
Jennifer Garner's been on the press trail for The Odd Life of Timothy Green in NYC this week, and last night she sat down with David Letterman to chat about the project and her family life. She also touched on an exciting milestone — husband Ben Affleck's 40th birthday, which is today. Jennifer shared her own feelings about being 40 and joked that Ben doesn't seem quite as excited. Jennifer Lawrence made her first visit to Late Night With David Letterman in NYC last night. She arrived at the studio in a white coat and showing off her Katniss Everdeen hair, and she stepped out onto the stage in a gorgeous figure-hugging navy Altuzarra dress for the interview. Dave congratulated her on her Oscar nomination for Winter's Bone before touching on her childhood spent riding horses sans saddle, her role in X-Men: First Class, and taking on "lighter fare" such as the ultraviolent Hunger Games series. We got our first official look at Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss in this weeks EW, and soon she'll be back to training where she's working on everything from archery to tree climbing for her time in the arena.
Anna Wintour did a rare interview last night as she appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman. The US Vogue editor is currently promoting The September Issue which is released in the UK on 11th September. In the interview she talked about the perception of her as "the devil", tabloid rumours and David's socks! She wore a black and white pansy dress by Carolina Herrera for the show with nude sandals and her signature shades.
