Two of Glee's leading ladies showed off their style last night at two very different fashionable events in the US. In New York, Dianna Agron attended the Whitney Museum of American Art Gala & Studio Party. The event was supported by Louis Vuitton, so it's no surprise that Dianna chose to wear the designer, opting for a '30s-style dress with flutter sleeves in classic black. Meanwhile, her former flatmate and costar Lea Michele was in LA for the CFDA and Vogue Fashion Fund Event. She tweeted that she was "having another Calvin Klein moment" (following her Women in Hollywood appearance), choosing a strapless white jumpsuit and black strappy heels. The monochrome looks couldn't be more different, except for the fact that both ladies opted for a pop of pale blue to finish the look; Lea with a chunky necklace, Dianna with dramatic pastel eyeshadow. Whose look do you love?
Dianna Agron reportedly left Glee to star in The Family, where she plays Robert de Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer's onscreen daughter. In fitting with this step up into a more serious role, her appearance at last night's world premiere saw her try an edgier new look. Her usual girlie style was ditched in favour of a directional monochrome look by Osman Yousefzada, and her beauty look followed suit, with bold smoky purple eyes, nude lips, and an artfully messy ponytail. This look is really easy to copy with a little practice — all you need is a good texturising spray and a nonslip hairband. Tie hair in a low, loose pony, and wrap a tiny bit of hair around and pin underneath to conceal the band. Pull out sections around the front, and spritz with dry shampoo to add texture and a matte finish. For the eyes, line with a sparkly bright purple all the way round, and then blend upwards into a lighter shade of shadow. Black mascara and dewy skin with plenty of bronzer and highlighter finish the look.
Zoe Saldana, Reese Witherspoon, Naomi Watts, and Nina Dobrev were all on hand to support their respective stylists for The Hollywood Reporter's 25 Most Powerful Stylists event yesterday. Kaley Cuoco, Abbie Cornish, and Dianna Agron were also in attendance to celebrate. The annual luncheon, which was held at LA's SoHo House, was hosted by Jimmy Choo and honors the most successful celebrity stylists of the year. This year's list includes heavy-hitters like Brad Goreski, L'Wren Scott, and Rachel Zoe, who was recognized for dressing Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway, and Jennifer Garner this award season.
The actresses all arrived in style, and most paired their pretty daytime looks with Jimmy Choo accessories. Reese posed with her stylist Leslie Fremar, who also dresses stars like Charlize Theron and Julianne Moore, while Kaley Cuoco stuck close to her fashion guru, Tara Swennen, who counts Kristen Stewart as one of her clients. Nina, who wore a red Max Mara jumpsuit, chatted with Zoe Saldana during the event, and shared photos of herself at the event on her Twitter page, including one with stylist Ilaria Urbinati.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Dianna Agron, and Christina Ricci hit the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC last night to celebrate the premiere of HBO's In Vogue: The Editor's Eye. Dianna donned a printed dress from Bottega Veneta, while Sarah Jessica paired a vintage dress with a blue velvet overcoat.
The celebs were joined by a host of big fashion personalities, including Vogue's Anna Wintour and other senior fashion editors, as well as designers Tory Burch, Vera Wang, Marchesa's Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, and Derek Lam. Models Joan Smalls, Karen Elson, Arizona Muse, and Karlie Kloss turned out as well. We have a look at the trailer for In Vogue: The Editor's Eye ahead of its debut on HBO tomorrow at 9 p.m. Karlie, for one, was excited to see the finished product. She tweeted just before arriving at the Met, "Ready to see the amazing editors talk about bringing the stories come to life!"
Dianna Agron led a pack of ready-for-Summer stars who attended Coach's Summer Party on the High Line in NYC yesterday. The public park was closed off for the event and filled with carnival games, like a dunk tank and fortune teller's booth. Penn Badgley attended without girlfriend Zoe Kravitz, and showed off a seriously bushy beard. Maggie Gyllenhaal also stepped out to check out the scene, as did Anna Kendrick, Kate Mara, Jessica Stam, Benjamin Walker, and more. Many of the ladies made the rounds carrying pieces from Coach's new Legacy Collection. Anna is hanging out in NYC after a clip from her new movie dropped this week. The Pitch Perfect trailer came out Friday, showing Anna taking a page from Dianna's series Glee and joining an all-girls music group.
Zoe Saldana wore Louis Vuitton as she struck a pose with Jaime King and Glee's Dianna Agron last night in NYC at Persol's Magnificent Obsessions event. The actresses were on hand to celebrate the eyewear brand's 30 Stories of Craftsmanship in Film party at the Museum of the Moving Image with other stars including Abbie Cornish and Patricia Clarkson, and were spotted trying on shades by the brand during the night out. The soiree was one of several that Zoe's attended in recent weeks. She was on the scene at the CFDA Awards and chatted up fellow celebrities at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic earlier this month. It's been a while since we've seen her on the big screen, but she'll return soon in The Words. Zoe stars in the movie with her ex Bradley Cooper, whom she reportedly split with in March after a three-month romance.
Not only were the lovely ladies of the UK present for last night's big awards show, but a few prominent British designer dresses also made their way across the pond for the formal affair. Glee's Dianna Agron wore a red lace stunner from Giles Deacon, Nicole Richie glittered in Julien MacDonald, Busy Philipps was draped in a Grecian-inspired dress from Alice Temperely and Kate Winslet wore a Jenny Packham number that is sure to go down in the history of elegant award show dresses. Out of these four looks, whose do you like best?
Earlier in the week, Fergie and Dianna Agron attended an event to support The Trevor Project in Los Angeles. Both ladies looked lovely with picture perfect makeup modernised with shimmery rusty-coral eyeshadow to make their light eyes pop. What do you think of this colour? I happen to like it a lot, in fact, so much that I've gathered a range of sienna, coral and terra-cotta shaded shadows for you to shop below!
Kate Bosworth Does a Fashionable Day Date With Her Man Michael Polish, Olivia Wilde, and Busy Philipps
Kate Bosworth, wearing Proenza Schouler's Spring/Summer 2012 collection, joined boyfriend Michael Polish, Olivia Wilde, Busy Philipps, and Dianna Agron at Vogue's 2011 CFDA Fashion Fund finalist celebration at LA's Chateau Marmont yesterday. Kate and Michael have been constant companions over the past few months, and in addition to their romantic trip to France he also recently accompanied her to a taping of Chelsea Lately. Olivia chose a flirty floral dress for the cocktail reception then changed into a sexy black Yigal Azrouël gown for her red-carpet arrival at last night's In Time premiere.
Busy selected a trendy mint wrap dress for the event and recently told us she's considering recycling last year's homemade Tinkerbell costume for Halloween for her big night of trick-or-treating with daughter Birdie. Fresh off her win at last weekend's Scream Awards, newcomer Chloe Moretz was also on hand for the soiree as were Mad Men's Elisabeth Moss and actress Michelle Monaghan.
